Thumbs up Chipco Vineyard NCV - Group Buy - New Color Chip is Shipped! - Pics Added!

6/13/07 -

The new color chips were received earlier today by Michael at HPC and then sent out to me in the afternoon. I should have them in hand by this next Monday. If you are interested in purchasing any, please let me know. It was asked by one person who PM'd me earlier, if anyone wants to verify who I am, I trade under the same name on eBay and have had over 200+ successful/positive transactions there.

I'm adding one picture below and there is one more picture that has been added to post #19 in this thread. Both pictures were taken by Michael at HPC.

Thanks!

-Chris

6/6/07 -

The new color chip (see post #15) is now in production by Chipco. The chip should be ready in two weeks (give or take a day).

Hi Everyone,

I just got off the phone with Michael from HoldemPokerChips.com after discussing setting up a new color for the Vineyard NCV Chipco chips. He's going to give us an unbelievably great price on the chips if we can get enough interest going in a new color or two.

We need to get a 1200 chip minimum for each new color ordered to make it a worthwhile endeavor for him.

PRICING:

This is per color (again he's giving us a great deal on these):

1200-1499 chips = $0.85 per chip
1500 and above = $0.80 per chip

Once we've come up with a large enough order from CT members in the colors that everyone shows the most interest in, the GB will be closed. Any future orders will need to go through Michael at HPC at the $0.87 per chip price he currently sells the rest of the chips in the NCV set at.

If someone reading this likes the new colors and wants to purchase a new set of NCV Vineyards (including the old Red, Blue, Green, Black, and Orange chips) you will be able to purchase them at whatever price point we are receiving for the current chips we are ordering. If the order for the old color chips is placed at any other time than the when the order is placed for the new colored chips, Michael has said the chips will be cost the regular $.87 per chip he normally sells them for.

Top_Contender (Thank you!) posted the original idea on this forum back in December but it died because it didn't look like there was a lot of interest in moving forward under the current conditions. Back then, the chips would have been $0.90 per chip with a minimum order of 2000 chips. I really think the new requirements (numbers) are easily obtainable and are a really great price for these Chipco chips. I have always wished there was another color or two for my NCV set and have been using other Chipco chips as those other colors instead. I never once thought about calling to see if a new color could be added to the set though. So again, thanks to TC's idea, we might actually get a new color or two added to the set.

COLORS:

A) I created a mockup last night of a new color I would like to see in the NCV Vineyards. It is a Light Gray/Med Gray chip. I would like to see something in the set that's a white/Gray type of color. I would probably order 200-250 of these.

B) There was talk in the original thread about Purple chips, Yellow chips, and Brown Chips. I like the idea of the Yellow and Brown chips. I'm not so keen on the Purple chips. I would probably order 50-100 of either the Yellow or Brown chips.

ORDER PROCESS:

Once we have the order numbers and color(s) sorted out, I would be placing the order HPC. Michael will then put the order in with Chipco. It will take Chipco two weeks to make the chips. They will send them to Michael who will then send the chips to me. I will then ship them to the members of the GB. As with all Chipco orders from HPC, the plastic Chipco racks are not included in the price. They can be purchased along with your chips at $2.00 per rack. But at the price Michael sells chips for on the site and what he is giving us the chips for in this GB, it is unfordable for him to include those in the price at the $.80, $.85, or even $.87 per chip he sells them for.

I would love for us to get going on this GB and put in an order as quickly as possible. I really think it will be nice to add some new colors to those chips sets already out there as well as generate some new chips sets.

-Chris

Below is a quick mockup of the Light/Med Gray chip with the other chips in the set:

Doesn't anybody else out there have sets of the Vineyard NCV chips they would like to supplement with another color chip?

Re: Chipco Vineyard NCV - New Colors - Group Buy

I don't have a set of Vineyard NCV Chipcos, but I might be interested in ordering a set as part of this group buy.

If I decide on a set, I would want a mixture of old and new colors, depending on which new colors are added. I would probably be in for 500-600 chips.

I think a pink chip would be cool, so one could put together a set in California colors. If a pink chip was decided on, I think a yellow chip would be awesome as well!

It sounds like a great group buy, let's just hope some more people are in on it!

Thanks,
MC

Hi MC,

You can definately get the old colors for the special price HPC is giving us on the newly created colors as well.

Would you want to see a pink chip as your first choice of new chips or is there another color that you want to see done first? I think a pink chip would be a good addition to the set, but it might look pretty close to the current red chip. That's kind of why I was thinking a white/gray chip would be a good start.

Both white/gray and pink would be great. I actually think pink would be my first choice - as I would really like to go Cali colors with this set. So yellow would be cool as well, but I could prob use the current orange instead of a yellow chip.

But hopefully both pink and white/gray could be done.

But as of now we need more people before this is going any where. And I still in the process of deciding whether I have funds available for this Chipco purchase.

Thanks, hopefully something happens,
MC

Re: Chipco Vineyard NCV - New Colors - Group Buy

This sounds like a great idea! I would be all over this if I hadnt ordered some ASM's a while back (cash set). I wanted to add a purple NCV chip back in Dec 2006 but to no avail. For no real reason, I love to have a quarter chips for small stakes .25/.50 games, and the grey chip mockup would be perfect for that. Wish I could afford to jump in on this, but I am already making plans to order a custom ASM tourney set , good luck with everything JellyTheory

This is making it really tempting to get a set of these. I was about to get some when I came accross the Monterey Club clay chips from BCC and ended getting some of them.

Ontario Cop - Do you have any particular color choice if you do get in on these? A first and second choice would be perfect.

I would be in for a mixture of old colors and a few new ones . I've been wanting a set (300-600?)of Chipcos. As far as new colors, white would be my first choice, followed by yellow, then grey. I hope we get enough interest Jelly.

Re: Chipco Vineyard NCV - New Colors - Group Buy

Looks like this time the groupbuy might happen. Wish I could get in and help you all and buy some, but if the wife finds out, with my late ASM purchase, she will throw me out with chips and all. Good Luck Jelly
