BCC Custom Hotstamp POLL--Picture Added & New Info

Picture Added (Thanks, tastic)

http://img127.imageshack.us/my.php?i...rs35ssajg6.jpg

ADDED INFO

BCC's response to some general questions:

1. Flame mold is only chip mold choice.
2. 2 available weight choices: (1) California poker weight, (2) LV poker weight. *
3. Anyone participating can have a BC stock die hotstamp or their own custom die on one side and a custom stamp die on the other side. **
4. Custom hot stamp dies are $100 per die.
5. Inlay art charge is $150 per side.
6. Solid hotstamped chips cost $.50 per chip on their flame mold.
7. To achieve a quantity price break for hotstamped chips on their mold our total order would have to reach 20,000 chips.
8. Blue chip will stamp other mfr's chips (e.g. T-molds) at this cost: $.10 stamping + $.15 scraping & cleaning per chip.

* I don't know what is CA or LV weights.
** The group buy would be for the custom stamps.

I'll get to work on trying to post the pictures Dave sent.

Re: BCC Solids Custom Hotstamp POLL

I think the lack of interest in this poll means that the interest in a possible group buy for dies is over.

I am very interested in this buy, but only if:
1. the price of the dies are split amongst participants.
2. the dies are generic, in which it is simple, no fantasy casino theme, and basically just has: denoms, no cash value, and possibly tournament (see Tastics' mock-ups) as I want to put my own custom die on the other side.
3. we are able to choose our own colors.
4. we just settle on the flame mold, as i think it would make things much easier to not have to worry about 2-3 different molds. IMO, this will save a lot of time.
This is just my $.02

Re: BCC Solids Custom Hotstamp POLL

I have a response from Dave at BCC. He emailed me back within a day, which I think is awesome. He also sent me an attachment with a larger picture of the blue chip stock colors (available for the general public) that anyone participating in this possible group buy could choose to use.

I'm going to post his answers to my questions in my original post.

Re: BCC Solids Custom Hotstamp POLL--New Info from BCC

I just saw this poll BK. I am down with a tourney set - between 1000-1500 chips. I would be doing a generic tournament denom stamp (GB stamp) on ones side and a custom die on the other.
Nice work BK - keep it going
J

one other question -- is the 20k chips for the discounted price 20k total regardless of the amount per color?

I think it's 20,000 total, regardless of color.

1. Yes
2. I talked to Dave about this pretty extensively, but it's been several months. Let's see if I remember correctly. CA Club 7.5-8.5 oz and NV Wieght 8.9 -9.5. (different colors weigh different amounts).
3. They have three styles I believe

Is it so hard for them to say "light weight" or "heavy weight" chips?? Why be so nebulous with this 'california poker weight' b.s.?

It seems that Whataboutj and I (and others that showed interest in the other thread) don't want to use the stock BC dies. Splitting the costs of generic denom dies designed by one of us (i.e. Tastic's mock-ups), and then letting everyone decide what they want on the other side is what got my interest, and I think is the reason this idea of GB was brought up. Some of us want to then pay for our own custom dies to put on the other side, and some can choose to use the GB dies on both sides at no extra costs. Maybe I misunderstood #3 above, but by how you have it stated, it defeats the purpose of having this GB. We should all just order on our own then. Can you clarify this? Thanks for your effort, and good job so far.
