There has been some interest in the "Poker Player Lair" chips (
original thread)so I thought I would try to formalize a Group Buy offer here in this forum. I have never tried to organize anything like this so please feel free to offer any suggestions about how things might be better done. I have tried to do some research and it seems that everyone is a little different.
My ultimate goal is to get everyone what they want, but also to share the costs as easily and FAIRLY as possible. To that end I have been looking at the following pricing structures and am interested in your feedback.

Pricing
I have sent a request to BCC for information regarding the availability of volume discounts. I will update the numbers in this post if there is anything offered. Currently the BCC pricing is as follows...
$150 per design (4 designs = $600) .90c per chip
UPDATED: Found out that discounts begin at orders of 20K chips. Not sure what the discount is but will look more into it if we get close ... If we can get 5000 people to get sample sets the pricing will be as follows ...
$150 per design (4 designs = 600)
.80c per chip
Ultimately I would like to somehow distribute the artwork fees but of course "How", will depend on how many folks participate & number of chips ultimately ordered.
I was considering 2 structures.
FLAT FEE
Each particpant would be responsible for a flat fee which would go towards the artwork fees plus the cost of their chips and shipping. The fee would be different for those who were purchasing sample sets versus anyone who was purchasing a larger set of course. I was thinking something like.
Number of chips -------- Artwork Fee ------- BCC Chip Price -------- Total Price (not including shipping)
Sample Set (4 chips) ------- $5 ------------------ .90c ----------------------- $8.60
20-100 Chips ---------------- $10 ----------------- .90c ---------------------- $100
More than 100 chips ------- $25 ----------------- .90c ----------------------- $475 (500 chips for example)
Any remaining artwork fees not covered by the group buy, I would cover myself. If the fees paid by participants exceeded the artwork fees ($600) then a proportional part of the fee would be refunded.
PER CHIP
The other option is to divide the artwork fee on a per chip basis. This would certainly be the easiest and most fair but would only be practical if we put together a significant GB of about 5000 chips or more. Here's the breakdown, of the per chip cost, using this structure.
Total Chips Ordered ---- Artwork Fee ------BCC Chip Price --------- Total per chip price
5000 ------------------------ .12c ------------------ .90c ---------------------- $1.02
6000 -------------------------.10c ------------------ .90c ----------------------- $1
7000 ------------------------ .09c ------------------ .90c ----------------------- .99c
8000 ------------------------ .08c .------------------ 90c ----------------------- .98c
Payment
Please PM me with your order. I will maintain a list with everyone who has ordered and the total quantity ordered. I will PM you back with the shipping costs for your order. When you agree to the total cost include your complete shipping address. I'll try to set up my PayPal account to accept Credit Card payments. If you are unable to use PayPal or would prefer to pay by check I will PM you the address to send that to.
