Just wondering if there are a few people interested in a $100 and $500 matsui plaque group buy.

I run a .5/1 dealer's choice game and a $100 plaque would be ideal for reloads or deep stack play. And a $500 plaque for when I someday make alot more money.

I believe the minimum order is 100 (for each denom) @ 6.50 each with a $250 art fee. So $9 for each plus shipping.

I think the design should be fairly simple but elegant - similar to Daveyboy's gorgeous $25k plaques.

I probably would want around 30-40 of the $100 and 10-20 of the $500.

I'm thinking of a black plaque for the $100 and purple for the $500.

So... anyone interested?

I found an ebay auction that shows the two different sizes. I think we should go for the larger size.

I think we should go for the ultra classy look that daveyboy achieved with his $25k plaque - I really dig the translucent gold finish.

I think we should do the $100 in a similar fashion - black transucent finish with a marble black stripe or cross like the design on ebay. And use silver for the denomination and border print. And rather than the M*G border have a simple design or perhaps a repeating 'one hundred dollars' as a border.

I would like the $500 to be the same except with purple.

I got a response from Jin at Matsui. Pricing is $6.50 each for the larger plaque with a $250 fee for each denomination.

I am very interested in $500 plaque.

I think you may have a hard time selling the notion of the $100 plaque since many people already have $100 chips.

I think you might be right, but I think I'll only need 2 or 3 other interested parties to get to the 100 minimum order for the $100 plaque.

I think most people will already have $100 chips but those are usually for tourney sets. I think the $100 plaque will appeal to the cash game crowd who host games with similar stakes to my game.

If I recall correctly the Daveyboy plaques were larger than their normal plaques?

I think they have 2 available sizes. I think all the custom matsui plaques on CT to date (daveyboy, tower/liberty, zen) have been the larger size. I'm not positive about the zen but the daveyboy and tower/liberty plaques are the same size - I remember seeing a side by side photo - I believe it was in Wylecoyo's review. I'm still waiting to hear back from matsui - can anyone confirm the sizes?

They do have (at least) 2 sizes...the zens are the smaller size...just measured and the zens are 3 3/8" long and daveyboys are 3 3/4" long...I personally prefer the larger and from what joshuadalton has informed me, the price difference is negligeable...so it'll just be a matter of what you prefer..
