Hey All,
Mostly just putting this out there to see if anyone is interested in a 500+ chip set of these so we can split an order and I can save myself about $30. I would pay for shipping of all of them to me and you would pay for shipping from me to you.

If 2 people get in (or more if smaller sets) we can save about $25 per 500 chips.

If 5 people get in (or more if smaller sets) we can save about $50 per 500 chips. If this many get in I will pay the first $30 in shipping to me then everyone else can split the balance. Probably just a couple bucks per person.

ASM prices for this type of chip:
300 - 999 - 60 Cents ea.
1000 - 2499 - 55 Cents ea.
2500 and over - 50 Cents ea.

To get the reduced price you must stay within the price group for that chip and get the same mold. You can get whatever colors you want as long as the total amount is like below. If you want to join in with other molds, inlays, or multi color spots, you have to go to that price group and the reduced price is for the total of those chips.

Number of chip base colors you can get:
For 500 chips = 6 chip base colors
For 600 chips = 7 chip base colors
For 700 chips = 8 chip base colors
Etc..

I will place the order with pokerchips.com via email early next week.
Friday (4-20) is the last day to get an order to me.

how much do these chips weigh? I might be interested in 500-1000 chips. What is the size of the recess for the label?

Are you looking to split the order with me and others?

I can most likley still be able to get a 500 set of these for myself. Only looking for the four base colors I have listed. The rest can be used to get whatever the rest of the group wants.

The chips are ASMs basic 8.5 to 9.5 grams each. A 500 set will have a shipping weight of around 10 to 13 lbs and ship for around $15.00 via DHL ground. A 1000 set will have a shipping weight of around 20 to 25 lbs and ship for about $25. These prices are uninsured and from me to you.

These only have a very slight recess in them. I have put a few paper labels on some that I have and they are a bit too thick. I will try and get a hold of Jason at personalpokerchips.com again to see if I can get some vinyl samples sent too see how they do. I would also like to see if they can be cut at 7/8" instead of the standard 1" so they fit within the recess a bit better. A few people have labeld these before with mixed results.

Apache sells the H-Mold with pre-determined (i.e. not customized) edgespots, not the Horsehead mold.

I weighed out a sample from the Blank HH with 312 spots set that I already have. The lightest was 8.4 and the heaviest was 9.1

Most of their chips tend to land in this range.

And like slayer said, the chips from appache are WYSIWYG ....

With this buy, you can get whatever spots you want on whatever base color you want as long as the totals land in the amounts stated in the original post. All of them need to be on a Horse Head mold.

Other molds that are available to do this with are circle square and Roman (if they are still making them). Seperate molds will require their own discount structure.

If you want to PM me your address, I will send you out enough that you could shuffle to borrow. You can also give ASM (pokerchips.com) a call and they can send you out a couple samples.

And yes, they do have a much more substantial feel to them than what they weigh up as.

Real chips do feel light if you're used to fondling 11.5g dice chips or other "official casino weight" chips. I thought the same thing the first time I held one. I have a few sample ASM chips. They are very nice. I just can't pull the trigger on a custom set right now...
