Let's use this thread to discuss ideas for the CASH SET portion of the Matsui Blue Sands Group Buy.

Price - .90/chip(2 color) + $250/denom art set up fee.
Denominations - .10/.25/1/5/20 (maybe Non-Denom?)

Looking at ordering sometime in February.
4-6 week for production.
Delivery to you sometime in April (estimate).

I would liket to thank Johnny5 for the great work on the inlay designs/concepts. These were the runner up to the Zen chips in the original Matsui Group Buy.

.25 - Hot Pink 10 - White 38
.50 - White 38 - Mustard 25
$1 - Light Blue 01 - True Blue 03
$5 - Lemon Yellow 24 - Vermillion 18
$20 - Black 42 - Mint 27 - White 38

Wouldn't a $20 work better for a cash set instead of a $25?

Here is one of my previous mockups to get ideas rolling.

I don't know about everyone else but for a cash set I would prefer a 20$ instead of a 25$ chip and of course I'd like it to be yellow.

Cali colors for a $20 is typically black.

If you see my OP, it says 20 in the denom list. I just didn't change the picture because I figured it would get more added as soon as some ideas were thrown around.

I wasn't sure since the cali color for a $25 is purple which is what you have shown.

I'd like to see a 3 tone chip for the $20...perhaps oversized if everyone agrees...Im not a fan of that current mold at all though.

Black base, with mint green, and white spots for me please

Also, can we get a .50 cent chip mockup?...if it sells it sells (i'll buy 2-300)...something with an orange base...or perhaps white?
I personally would like the .50 cent on the $1 mold you have now, and switching the $1 to the current $5 mold, and then adding another busy mold such as the 320-C for the $5...I know with this chip it makes the base color look lost when stacked...we could remedy this by using the 3-color chip and using the base as one of the edgespot colors, even another tone of yellow would be interesting.....just a thought

Summary of suggestions:

- $20 oversized chip
- Add a .50 cent chip to the set....mocked-up to the current $1 mold with base color Orange, or white
- $1 mold switched to the $5 mold
- add a new $5 mold

I definitely wouldn't mind a .50 cent chip as well, if we can get the min on it.

In my game I use a .10, .50 and $1 chip. If I'm using my small BR Pro set, then I usually have to bust out the $5 chips when people bust and rebuy, then they make change on the table. So obviously I have use for a .50 cent chip.

Just not sure how smart it is to have a .25 cent and a .50 cent in the same buy. They serve 2 completely different blind structure games, so it is viable. I am just not sure if we could then hit the min needed on each the .25 and .50.

I would personally be buying around a 500 chip set.

350 .10 Cent
100 .50 Cent if we do them
50 $1

If we can not add a .50 cent chip, then I will need to use the .25 cent chip instead. That would be an inconvenience, but not a deal breaker at all.

Is there a min per person on a denom? If not then I would also buy like 10 .25 Cent (If a .50 cent gets added), 20 $5 and maybe 10 $20 just to have the whole set.

I realized months ago a .50 cent chip is the way to go unless you're running a micro cash game.

Most people would disagree.
