***3/23/07 Update***
This group buy consisted of pre-USPC green/brown circleback casino KEMs, pre-USPC black/burgundy casino KEM's, USPC red/blue casino KEMs, and USPC green/brown casino KEMs. The order was placed through Kardwell and I think we totaled something like 130 set-ups (260 decks). The order was sent to me in 12/06 and all cards delivered to the group buyers in 12/06 and 1/07.

Some people with the pre-USPC cards complained that they got seconds instead of casino quality. I am in the process of making that right with Joe from Kardwell.

Phase 1 consisted of replacing cards for those that only had a few problems. The following people had individual cards replaced:

Those replacements were mailed 3/22/07 and 3/23/07. Joe sent them to me for free, and I covered the shipping back out to you guys. Hopefully, this will make the six of you "right". Please confirm when you get them in.

Also, Joe sent me a full set-up to use as replacements and then a few miscellaneous cards that had duplicate problems. As a result, I have some spare cards available if others need a replacement:

Hearts: A, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9
Diamonds: A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, J
Spades: None
+ 2 Jokers

Brown Circlebacks

Spades: A, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, T, Q, K
+ 2 Jokers

If you were involved in the original group buy but missed phase 1, I will send you replacement cards, but you pay the postage. If you were not involved in the group buy, these cards are available for $1 each, with the intention that sales will offset what I have to pay in postage to re-ship.

Phase 2 is already under way for those that have entire decks (or nearly all of a deck) damaged/unacceptable. I will continue to take claims into next week, then I will send Joe a fax with a list of the problems. I assume that you will have to send me your ace of spades in Phase 2 to get a replacement, but I don't know that for sure. I also do not know what the remedy will be. I assume they will be replaced, but they may also be substituted (for, say, post-USPC casinos, which had almost no problems) or refunded. When I know the remedy and the replacement/refund procedure, I will let you know.

Once Phase 2 is over, you will have to deal with Joe directly for problems. I will be glad to confirm with Joe what cards you purchased as part of this group buy, but you will have to work with him to correct your porblems.

No, this was not for casino seconds. Frankly, I didn't know what made a casino second and I wanted to keep this top quality at the best price possible.

I'm not going to open the GB up to casino seconds so close to the deadline, because I don't want to jack things up. But if you are interested in casino seconds, JB, send me an email (not PM please -- too full) and I can add one or two to the order.

Large Global Priorty Mail flat rate envelope (large enough for two set-ups) is $7.50 to Canada.

Small Global Priority Mail flat rate envelope (one set-up only) is $4.25 to Canada.

Three to four set-up must be shipped GPM variable weight (up to 4 lbs) and cost is based on weight.

I am pretty mad at Kardwell for not offering us another discount, we are going to over double his 50 mark, i think it is pretty lame of him to not offer us a bigger discount at 100, i wonder how many orders he gets like that.

I have to admit that I think that's kind of lame of him as well. Didn't someone say the catalogue actually references another discount at 100? Still a very good deal, but odd.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I doubt that many orders this big come through......maybe we should all bug him BWAHAHAHAHAHAh .......sorry I'm ok over here

I'm guessing he probably gets plenty of orders this size, just not fromo the general public.

My gripe is if the catalogue references an additional discount at 100, and then he refused to honor it.

I got the feeling that $19.50 is pretty close to their break even point. As a matter of fact, when I originally told him we had 80 set-ups, he quoted me $21.50. I reminded him of the $19.50 in the catalog for a full case of 50 setups and he apologized. He was in the back, not in his office, and didn't have the prices committed to memory.

Seriously. As I posted in the other thread, if you wanted one of these set-ups, it would be over $40 delivered in the US ($32.50 + something like $7.71 shipping). We are getting these 1/2 price.

I can almost guarantee that you will never have the option to buy pre-USPC KEM's for less than $25 shipped to your door.
