Diamond Falls clay GB MASTER THREAD
i'm going to use this as the new master thread for these, since there are so many polls out there on these. i'll post links to the polls and latest mock-ups.
11/13
SPECIFICS :
these will be made on the Nevadajacks "suits" mold on BlueChips. when we're ready to place the order, it will be handled through Nevadajacks, and the cutsom dealer button, bounty chip, and plaque will be made by NJ.
WHEN : it's up to us, so as soon as we make the last final decisions. the ceramic pieces (DB, bounty, plaque) won't take long as we all know NJ crazy fast turnaround time, but the clay chips will take their usual longer time. since we're using a pre-existing mold, we should save some time there. i'll check more on this as we get closer.
PRICE : even though we dont have to pay for a custom mold, there are still going to be some hefty set-up fees, so we will need to meet a requirement of 20,000 chips ordered. we will have two options on the price (i'll start the poll on this aftrer we finalize the whole design):
1. the lighter 8.5ish gram chip - 79 cents per
2. the heavier 9.6ish gram chip - 89 cents per
THE SET (showing the winning choices inthe polls so far) :
INLAY :
COLORS:
CERAMICS :
these are all just rough ideas. i will work on these more after we get the clays portion taken care of since the clay will take much longer.
25K PLAQUE :
BUTTON (real quick version):
BOUNTY :

i thought about it, and i didn't even try it. i like the idea, and think it will look cool, but i realized that the original artwork for the denom set is the one thing that nobody has objected to, so why mess with it. besides, i think the design process has been going on for just a long enough time now to get everything pretty much worked out. i want to wrap this up so we can start ordering before ANOTHER solid, black inlay chip design fizzles out!

Re: Diamond Falls clay GB MASTER THREAD
these are closer to actual size (inlay only). i made them a touch bigger, since the image seems to be a bit sharper on paper than on the screen.

What if you dropped the suits, but kept the bending/falling water as a way to "frame" the denomination (either the denom sits on top per my one mockup or is surrounded by the water like the denoms)?

Re: Diamond Falls clay GB MASTER THREAD
might be a stupid question or might have been answered already, but at the risk of sounding stupid im going to ask.
so these are going to be a solid clay set without edgespots? or would there be room for customization if wanted?

Stank if I may...........
Not a stupd question, but-
- Solid clay chips being produced by Nevada Jacks, no edge spots (Too many group buys already with edge spot chips)
- No custamization. The group bu will be for the inlay designs and colors decided by the votes in the many man polls that have already been run
IMO these are by far some of the best solid chips and inay designs I have seen in my short time on CT and worth getting.
That beign said - if you are looking for custom edge spot chips Blue Chip co. has a special sale running right now on them directly through blue chip. If you go back a few pages in this thread there is information about it as well as in other threads on CT (Just do a search)
I hope that helps

YEAH, what he said.
the inlays are just a few minor tweaks away from being done (hope to finalize that this morning). still going to play with the ceramic plaque, bounty chip, and dealer button. the clay part of the set is going to take a while to be made, so while we're waiting for them, we'll work more on the ceramic part.

Re: Diamond Falls clay GB MASTER THREAD
one last set of slight variations for the NCV inlay. please post which you like best and what changes you'd like to see. these three and the last three are all pretty close, so as soon as we decide which one to use, i can make the minor adjustments to make it ready to print.
i'm going to check with jim at NJ about how he wants us to place orders, but i don't imagine he'll be able to anything until monday. so we'll have a day or so to decide. i'm definetly going to make a decision before then and have the artwork done for first thing monday morning, so unless you just want it to be all up to me, discuss away!

Re: Diamond Falls clay GB MASTER THREAD
I like #3 (Far right) the best - the effect of the water pool and the suits looks the best IMO
Side note - I just got a small sample set of the NJ Mardi Gras clays from another member - they have the suits mold which I had never sen in person before..........If I was excited about this set before now I am EXTREMELY EXCITED!!!!!!

For this group, I like the 2nd and then the 3rd.
Compared to the last set of three, I think I like the 1st one better than the 2nd one in this set, but its a toss-up between them.
