I like the KISS design, but with the logo so only one player can read it. I don't know why. I just like that look. And green is by far my favorite color. I don't really like the black. Not fond of the red, but I prefer it to black. Green is what I'd like to purchase.

I think this is KISS, uncluttered, clean centerfield, still identifies chiptalk, flexible in terms of players. | Like this? |

If you're display is set less than 1280 x 1024, you might have to scroll right.

The biggest complaint with the Vegas one was the 4 aces printed in the middle - right where you want to put the community cards. Obviously the designer had never actually played Hold'em before... Also, some people (including me) don't like the player positions marked with 2 card-sized rectangles. So, TenPercenter suggested a possible group buy, and here we are. If anything, the cost per each should be about half of Target's original retail price, so I'm guessing a little under $10. One could easily retail these things for $20 (maybe more) and they'd be better than any cloth or folding layout on the market. The only thing a hard top has going for it is a padded rail and/or cup holders... but you have to put up with the seam (fold), and they're not nearly as easy to store or transport.

I like the K.I.S.S.
I like hendu's suggestion of a larger pad that is trimmable.
I also would like to see if they can be made to fit standard banquet table sizes. I know that wouldn't be oval, but banquet tables are ubiquitous and inexpensive. You could have a pretty nice table set up for under 50 bucks...
Great idea ten

I love the KISS philosophy.
I really don't see the need for more than one small logo. Anything more, in my opinion, is overkill and I eliminates a lot of the market. I would be very interested in buying these for a large tournament set up
With one small classy logo, everyone knows that this is a ChipTalk product, and then lets the quality of the product speak for itself.
For those of you who hate the 4 Aces design, imagine if they put the same design in 4 different places across the top! It loses all appeal.
If I'm going to spend money and get an incredibly useful product I'm more than happy to advertise for ChipTalk.net. But there is no way that 4 logos are going to get some message across that one logo couldn't do more effectivley. If a product covered in branding, I expect it to be SWAG, and free, or incredibly cheap.
Just my opinion.
I, of course, with everyone elese, would be INCREDIBLY interested in custom printing, and custom sizing. That would be a huge market.

I think a small to medium sized chiptalk logo in the place where the "dealer" normally sits at a table (ie between the edge and the betting line in the middle of one of the straights) would be just fine. If you are using these for a big tournament that would actually give you an identifying point for assigning players to numbered seats. I think it would look much better than the 4 logos, which seems a little cluttered to me.

Less is better. i think one small logo works best.
Those talking about trimming need to remember that with a betting line, once you trim you are gonna have a funky looking setup.

Also, FWIW, I have one of these (with the four aces) and the oval layout on a rectangular table works great. No one minds that there is a bit of exposed table, at least in my game.
