Last Minute Help!!! Bellagio Gb Smooth Or Textured?

I know how many I want to order, just need some more input about smooth or textured. Are the smooth, smoother than a Chipco? Does the textured chips artwork look that bad compared to the smooth chip? What do you think outweighs the other, durability or look? I feel like the textured would not show as much wear and tear and stack better, however chipco's feel good, I mean all the casino's use them! I'm lost, any advice would be great! Thanks in advance,
-smitty

Re: Last Minute Help!!! Bellagio Gb Smooth Or Textured?

I haven't handled both versions of the "B" chips, so this is my general feeling.

Ceramic chips are not my favorites, but I much prefer smooth over textured. I like the feel and the sharper graphics.

My 2¢.

I went with smooth. There's something about a smooth chip I just like.

Re: Last Minute Help!!! Bellagio Gb Smooth Or Textured?

Did most people choose smooth because of the graphic do you think? I'm not so concerned with a little blurriness in the graphic as I am with feel and wear. I heard that the smooth chip and wear easier than the textured. I like the feel of paulson, with some texture to them, do you think the textured would be the better way to go for me?

I see there are 2 posts from me there. But, I'll also reiterate, I like the textured chip, if it were more aggressive like a NJ, I'd have probably chose the smooth. But, since it isn't, the texture seemed "just right" to me, so that is why I went with it.

I can't say how these will wear, but I did do a torture test with my texture sample, to see how the texture held up, as well as the colors, and it came out pretty good considering what I did to it. (if I could find my post, I'd link that too....)

Either way, at this price just buy double the chips for 1 set of each.

Maybe that is what I should have done, get my cash-set as smooth and the tourney set as textured. OH NO!!! You darn smooth-operators are warping my mind!!!!

Re: Last Minute Help!!! Bellagio Gb Smooth Or Textured?

Thanks for the help everybody! I decided to go with 1300 textured at the last minute. I read some reviews of NJ's new line of textured ceramics, Mardi Gras, and decided that feel was more important to me than crisp graphics. I hope I made the right decision! Can't wait for these chips to get here!

Re: Last Minute Help!!! Bellagio Gb Smooth Or Textured?

i am in the same boat. i went with smooth because OTB and others said they stack exactly the same. i am hoping this is true. i just wish i had samples of both to compare. i dont like having slippery stacks. can someone ease my mind and tell me the smooth wont be a slippery as dice chips or nexgens? i want these chips to stay in a stack if the table get knocked or nudged. thx.
