Matsui Group Buy (Gauging Interest)

Let's use this thread to get a feel for who would be truly interested in being a part of a Matsui Group Buy.
Here is what I am thinking....
40mm Decal serving the 1/5/10/20 chips
43mm Decal serving the 25/100/500 chips
Plaques serving the 1000 and possibly 5000 denoms.

Below is a quick mockup as a possible inlay/chip.....NOT SET IN STONE THAT THIS IS THE CHIP, JUST AN IDEA TO GET THINGS GOING!!!

If you are interested, please post how many chips you would like to get.

I would be in but would prefer to see the 43mm only be used for the $1000 chip.

If they tunred out good I would be in for 1000

Re: Matsui Group Buy (Gauging Interest)

I might get 800 or so depending on the final design and price.

I have never handled any Matsui chips, anyone have some samples I could borrow to check them out or know where I could get some of my own to keep? I think the Murphy's Card room chips from HPC are Matsuis - if so are they representative of all of their chips? My friend has a sample set of Murphy's and, although the look terrific, they are quite slippery.

Re: Matsui Group Buy (Gauging Interest)

I thought it would be cool to have a tourney set that consisted of 43mm chips and plaques, but if the consensus is to have 40mm, I can't be too selfish

The chips design looks nice but I like more traditional colors.
Green / Black / Purple
Just my 2 cents(if worth that)

Re: Matsui Group Buy (Gauging Interest)

I'd like a tourney set. 5/25/100/500 40mm except the 500 (43 mm).

Any chance on using the vineyards theme?

Re: Matsui Group Buy (Gauging Interest)

Are people just flat out opposed to the idea of one set of 40mm and another of 43mm in the format I listed in the first post?
I just thought it would be nice to do something completely different since we have the chance to order 43mm chips at the same price as the 40mm.

I think the idea is to take advantage of the bright colors that are available through their printing, and do something different. Nothing is set yet though, and these are just ideas.

Im not flat out opposed but would rather not have a full set in 43mm. If they group decides otherwise I would probably still in for 1000
