OTB - the final mockups look great. Congratulations and thank you. My only question would be regarding the 500 and 1000 chip colors;
500 - in reality it is an orangy salmon color (that's techno artist speak). On my monitor your mockup looks orangy brown
1000 - In reality it is a tan brown. On my monitor your mockup looks closer to chocolate.
It's probably just my monitor but I thought I would bring it to your attention since I don't think you have actually seen these chips in person.
Thanks again for your work.

I have been wanting to order a large tourny set for quite some time now. I really like these chips and I really want to order a set of 1000 chips. Is there anyway I can get a few samples before I order though? I would had to spend the money before hand if I dont really like the chips on hand. Also, what denoms and how many to order :/

No you are right, I have not seen these chips in person. Only in the pictures posted here.
Originally, I had the 500 a salmon-orange color, but was told in the the other thread that it was a true orange, which is what it is right now.
The 1000 I just picked a brown that looked similar to the photos, and contrasted with the pink decently.
However at this point since we don't have a set of physical chips to compare them to, (or does someone???) or someone with a Pantone book that has seen them to supply numbers, I'm just going to have to get a sample set made and tweak from them to make them look good.
My business partner is a professional photographer, so I'll post some NICE "studio" pictures taken when the samples arrive.

Might I suggest that as people post quantities wanted you update the first post in this thread so you don't have to search through hundreds of posts to get the final count.

Thanks again for your work. | One of the BIGGEST problems we go through from time to time is:
customer SEES his design on his monitor- and sends it to us. We see it a tad differently as our monitor /scanner/printers are all balanced. Then we print a prototype and send him a scan. More differences. Then when the finished product is printed and shipped- theres another difference. I think we will ultimately go through this same problem with this order- there will undoubtedly be some color shifting- its a by-product of the process.
Once the actual samples are received, they will have to be scanned and posted for review. More differences. I'm hoping I'm making a mountain out of a molehill with all this- but this is a big worry I have-
Thats why I think passing the actual samples around and ordering enough for the key people to make a decision is crucial.
The artwork is AWESOME!!!

Great work on the mock-ups OTB. They look great.
For the record, the 500 & 1000 chip colors look "orangey brown" & 'chocolate" too.

Seems to me that if you are going for a replica type chip, the artist should get the real chips in front of him and get all the colors as close as possible. They are going to look great no matter what, but ........

Joe | Joe, I don't think major color shifts are going to be a huge problem from my end.
The colors I'm using are not primarily from monitor choices but printed CMYK values taken from a Pantone Simulation swatch book for reference.
The only real shifts I expect are going to be from what Chinese ink standard they are using versus the US SWOP colors all of my references are based on.
I'll be very surprised if the colors are nailed on the first proof run, but I don't see needing more than 3 proof sets to get things just right, and make everyone happy.

AB | I don't think he HAS them but I think he has actually seen them.
I will surely confer with him when the first samples arrive.
