YIKES. Nanook, you are REALLY undecided. I think you need to make some hard decisions first as to what color combos (base + spot) you want for each chip, and then worry about what kind of spot pattern you want for that chip (but I guess that's why you're so undecided) ... OR vice versa, choose spot patterns and then color combos ...
I'm not a fan of the Black on the $25 Green chip. I took element from all your posted pictures to come up with something for you ... how about something like this ( no color is repeated anywhere) :
Of course, you have to consider what spot patterns we'll ultimately have the minimum met for, as that'll heavily influence what you can get ... |

I am going to proceed as if that were the case and just have a back up if necessary. Really it will only be the pattern that I have for the $25 and $100 that I have to think about at all. The rest I will satisfy the min by myself. AB |

OK, so here's my current thinking. Weird, I know.
The Fire colour is really a lot more dense in the real chip..... |

my $5 belongs to my cash set but will be the dark purple, but i will have enough to carry over to my tourney should i want to do a T1000-1500 game, then i am doing $25-signal, $100-trop yell. and $500 lavender

Some of our friends refuse to play for anything more, some of them almost violent about it... but some of us wouldn't mind playing something like 10c/20c or 10c/25c from time to time, and we'd have an "exclusive" set to do so
I'll mention a breakdown I'm thinking about in a bit (wasn't there a thread just for this? If so I can't find it now) but here are some mockups, which evolved as I was taking screenshots.
My first thoughts - I'm pretty set on tropicana gold for the quarter, I just love it. And fire/signal green for the 5 and 25, not that it would get used a whole lot compared to the others. Off-white is a nice colour, and I was thinking about a blue-ish colour for the dime.
My exploring of the colour for the dime...
Then I remembered that somebody mentioned brown would probably be nice for a dollar chip with some of the colours I was considering... and I do like the light blue as well. I'm really liking this combination for a set now. It really does help having actual samples to play with
But anyway, my thoughts on a breakdown for a small 8 player 10c/25c set:
80 x 10c
128 x 25c
80 x $1
30 x $5
6 x $25
For a total of 324 (I believe someone mentioned that most cases would fit an extra 4 or so TRK chips per row?). I'd probably order another 10 or so of each for extras anyway. Start with 10x10c,16x25c,5x$1 per player and allow for one rebuy of 5x$1,1x$5 and one rebuy of 2x$5 each. Total of 16 rebuys, likely more than enough. But just in case, that's what the $25 chips (and 6 extra $5 chips) would be useful for.
I know this thread was for mockups, but how does that sound?

I like your colors. I think that it will look really nice.
One of the games I play in they like to play 10¢/25¢ NL with a max buy in of $25
Usually we do this:
10 x 10¢
16 x 25¢
10 x $1
2 x $5
What you have will work for this set up too. Looks good. AB |
