Hello All,

I'm having a lot of fun running the Show 'Em chip GB and have been thinking of a possible new project.

There was a thread or two suggesting a "prize" chip. Along these lines I had a thought (danger, danger ). I get a kick out of watching the Celebrity Poker and was thinking about the Silver and Gold chips they give on the show.

This may be a bit more specialized to people that run a league(s) (but could be done to be more flexable) with a TOC game but what if we design two chips along these lines...

This is off the top of my head so the actual text can be worked on by those with more imagination than I have at the moment... .

1. A "sliver" chip, that the monthy (weekly or whatever) winner would get and turn in for the entery to the TOC game. It could say somthing along the lines of "Game Winner" "Good for entry into the TOC". This chip would be collected at the TOC.
2. A "Gold" chip given as a TOC prize for the winner to keep saying "Winner of the TOC" (or somthing more creative).

This would be sort of cool because you would only need enough Silver chips to cover your games since they can be re-used after they are turned in for the TOC and a small (10-20) Gold chips would last for a number of league seasons and be a unique (relativly anyway) keepsake for the winners that won't cost a fortune to give away.

Those that don't do the league thing could just get Gold chips to give away if the text was a bit more generic.

These are nice quality medallions too.

I bought a bunch of them for a set of tourneys we hosted at a local bar.

I bought 8 of the silver ones for the "pre-round" qualifiers, (ala Celebrity Poker Showdown) and then those 8 players went to the final table for a gold medallion and a trophy after 8 weeks of play.

They are all metal, customized with laser engraving for the purchase price and everyone that won one, proudly brought them to the other games to display.

This eBay seller is FAST too. It only took about a week to get them in my hands.

If you want something smaller that could be used for a card protector it looks like he has a new smaller "coin" version too (also customized) for a little less $$$:
