Apparently Copaq will produce custom runs of cards with a minimum order of 5000 decks.

Although this is a huge number of decks, I'm curious to see if anyone else thinks this might be possible?

I won't comment on whether I think we could find people to buy 2500 setups (that's not a negative comment, I really can't imagine at all), but I think if it were possible it would be with a back designed by the art geniuses at this site, probably to match one (or two) of the chipsets that they've designed. For example, it might be an egyptian-themed deck that could go with either of the egyptian chipsets, or if it were cool with the artist, a pinup deck to go with the beauties (I would personally buy at least a setup or two of those, and it would have nothing to do with the chips. )

Like I said, I have no idea if it would work, but you just put it out there, and if anyone who has a clue thinks it will, we'll find out.

Id definetly buy a set or two if I really liked the design...Id definetly like the American beauty design theme, and be interested in those, but I've also thought a graffitti type style would be cool, though I doubt 5,000 other people would : )

Well, you only have to convince 4,999 people.

I (incorrectly, I'm pretty sure) said something about 2,500 setups earlier, but I guess since the two decks are different it would indeed by 5k. The reason I suggested a design based on the chips (or just an art geniusy design in general), as opposed to a Chiptalk design, is that to sell 5k, I think some of them would have to go to retailers and be sold to non-CT members. WIth an American Beauties deck, the odds might be pretty good.

Except a much smaller amount of people bought ABs than bought the chips this site was created for... The Pharaoh's Club & Casino. I'd buy those.

My thoughts so far.

1) 2-design sets, to go with the Pharaohs and Egyptians.

2) 2-design sets, along the line of what Bostonpokerchips said. Casino style with either hints of ChipTalk or the full ChipTalk logo.
