2005 WSOP Ceramic Chip GB Interested?

EDIT: Bostonpokerchips is offering 2005 WSOP chipco chips for very reasonable prices: please see that thread here

http://chiptalk.net/forum/showthread.php?t=11846

I unfortunately do not have the time, software, nor the ability to design a 2005 version. However there is enough interest to get this going - I think. I am purchasing a set of TR Kings or the like in the near future, but I will commit to at least 200 to 400 of whatever comes up with this.

I see the first step: judge interest. Second: choose a mfr - either chipco or Nevada Jacks.

Personally I am not overly concerned on how the inlay is worded just needs to too look somewhat similar (I would be happy with Chiptalk Group Buy Tournament Chips in an arc on the top). The face design and edges spots need to be as close as we can get to the actual chips IMO.

Re: 2005 WSOP Ceramic Chip GB Interested?

I'm fairly new around here and new to the custom chip/group buy process, but I was thinking of trying to get something going.

I was thinking of doing replicas and replace Rio with a fictional casino name...thoughts? Design ideas??

I don't have much time the next month, but after that I'll have a lot more free time.

If they would be made with the same spots and colors I'd get some just to have em

Does anyone have the newest cardplayer? They have a nice clear pic of the face and a few denoms 100,1k,10k

ditto. I'd love to have a wsop (replica) final table set to play with. If Lumpy's price crunching on the other thread is correct and we get enough interest, I'd like to go with ChipCo as I don't have a set of those yet but I'm sure there will be a poll first. I checked 400-500 chips.

There is not much of a difference between the 2004 chips and the 2005 chips to do a re-design...

If anything....for those that like a black 100 chip and a different 5000 chip...just change edge spots and colors on the current design......

Personally.....I think that the current 100 chip is hideous.

Re: 2005 WSOP Ceramic Chip GB Interested?

I'd be interested depending on the final design and price. I'm probably in the minority here but I'm not too big on the "no cash value" text on the chips even though they're on the real ones (and for good reason). It just seems out of place for home use when it's so evident that they have no cash value and seems to detract from the overall appearance of the chip IMO. But either way, I'd probably be in for some. I've always wanted some WSOP-like chips as a tourney set.

Re: 2005 WSOP Ceramic Chip GB Interested?

Even if a redesign through Homepokerchips ends up being 75¢ - which I doubt we can get enough (and chipco raised their prices right?), Nevada Jacks could end up being a lot less if we order enough - I may be wrong.

So far though there is not enough interest so we shall have to wait and see.

A redesign of a couple of the chips could work, but then we are paying premium prices through Cardroom Supply - would not effect me too much as I won't be buying many, but for others....

Re: 2005 WSOP Ceramic Chip GB Interested?

Well, I flipped through my card player issues and didn't find any clear shots of the chips. I found some side shots, but nothing worth posting. Maybe it is in the issue that is currently in the mail. I will post pics when I find them.
