Question Why not Matsui?

Why hasn't anyone done a group buy of Matsui?

Just curious.

There's a number of pages in the Black Sands thread that illustrat it, but mainly because they are having difficulty producing a clay chip.

It sucks, because it seems they have re-engineered their procedure vs. the chips Ten reviewed (which I have as well and they are the bomb) and the new chips apparently suck. Why they did, no one knows, but they did. Bastages.

Re: Why not Matsui?

If you adjust your view to see all of the group buy threads for the 30 days or so you will see that there is, or at least was, a group buy in progress for WSOP decal chips. Their are several mockups sent by Matsui so progress was being made, but then the thread just kind of went dead. I thought the mock-ups looked great, and pokerchipreviews.com can't say enough about their decal chips, so I wish it would get going again. However, one of the issues was that Matsui demands like 50 thousand chips ordered, which is way to high. -

if those chips came out fairly similar to the mockups that were on the thread, i'd guess that 50,000 chips would actually be not too huge of an obstacle... those chips were looking great before the thread fizzled out...

Re: Why not Matsui?

I have a Matsui compression molded chip from the recent Global Gaming Expo. The inlay has some real issues, it looks like there is a clear sticker over the inlay, and there are bubbles under it. The chip weighs in at 8.85g and other than the inlay, is very nice.
