Chips: 7,134 | | | TR King Group Buy (Edgespotted) - POLL UPDATE 11/11 Well, we're doing something really orginal and starting up another TR King group buy! These chips will be denominated and edge-spotted. Nothing is completely set in stone yet, but we have a general idea of where we're headed. Our inlay will be designed to look like a real casino inlay... a plain, straight-forward, nice looking inlay with a small graphic, text, and denomination. The denoms will be standard, from $0.25 up to $1000 or $5000. There will also possibly be the inclusion of an NCV chip for those who need 50¢, $2, $10, $20, or $50 chips.
Designs for specific chips are being submitted right now. Base colors should be as follows: Grey/White 25¢, Blue/Light Blue $1, Red $5, Green $25, Black $100, Purple/Yellow $500, Light Blue/White/Yellow $1000, Any $5000, Any NCV. After speaking with Dennis at TR King (10/3/05 and 10/28/05), a lot of questions have been answered. The chips will be around 95¢/chip, and the base color can be used as an edgespot color, so a lot of "hidden" edgespot patterns are available.
One thing that annoys me about some group buys is how available the chips are after it's all said and done. The Pharaoh's group buy is a prime example. Now, obviously, they needed retailers involved to meet the huge requirement for custom Paulson chips, but it's still frustrating to see your nice clay chips available for anyone on several web sites. This also has a big effect on the security of the chips. I don't want to see that happen with this group buy. TR King has a low minimum buy requirement, so a retailer isn't needed. Instead, I would like to add everyone involved in this buy to a list. Only people from this list will be able to purchase these exact chips once the group buy is completed. This keeps the chips exclusive to us and more secure.

Chips: 62 | | Since I missed the bus in the other thread.
Here are edge spot patterns I would like to see in this set. Disregard colors and denoms
4x1 using 2 colors
3x2 using 3 colors(1 for each spot)
5x1
3x2
4x2 using 2 colors
and of course |

Chips: 7,134 | | Okay so here's the plan as far as the forum is concerned.
1) Both the theme poll and the blue vs. white poll will end tomorrow night at 10:00pm. Whichever is leading is what we'll use for the time being. The blue vs. white will be more permanent than the inlay. If someone comes up with an inlay that everyone likes better than the one picked in the polls, then we can go from there and have another poll. With the smallish inlay the Royal Plaza inlay probably works best since it's basic... plus I think most people would like a chip with an inlay that looks like it could be from a real casino.
2) I'll put up two more polls on Sunday morning... one for the actual inlay we want to use from the King's Crown theme, and another for the $0.25 chip. I'm not going to post a white vs. grey or blue vs. grey poll... I'll post mockups of both colors to vote on. On that note, everyone should start posting ideas for the $0.25 chip.
Just so everyone knows, I won't have much say in the $25-$2500/5000 chips... I mean, if I think they're ugly then I'll chime in, but I'll more or less let ya'll figure those out. I will have a lot of say in the $0.25-$5 chips, however. |

I'll have a poll on this, too... but I'd like to only use the 4 patterns Lumpy posted. I think the half-moons and 3x1 just don't fit because they go so far in on the chip towards the inlay and the rest of the patterns don't. Plus, this will keep the cost down. Always important... |
