Chips: 1,580 | | | SHOW EM "Show cards" chip group buy interest threa
This is the mockup I did for the "TRUTH!" chip. Everyone gets one of these with their buy in, and can use it to make someone show their cards when they are not called.
Anyway, there was some interest shown in the NJ Bounty chip thread, but I didn't want to hijack that thread anymore, so I started this one.

Chips: 1,071 | | | I like the idea as a way to raise money for food and drink for the house or for a charity tournament. Sell them at the beginning of the tournament. |

Chips: 4,436 | | You should change the wording of option 2 in your poll. It's just too much fun to call people stupid and people may not be able to resist voting no, even if they like the chip. |

Chips: 1,580 | | oh, uh, I probably should have put this in the first post, but it's not something that I'm going to handle. I just didn't want the comments in the other thread, so I moved it here. Everyone could vote stupid if they wanted, I'm not going to be running it anyway. |

No? | Dare is a much better idea than truth. That way, you are not changing the rules of poker. The person would not have to show, but most people would be good sports about it. And if the person does not show, the darer (is that a word?) would keep his Dare button. |

Chips: 222 | | | I think if you outlined that this rule is in use for that game then it'd be cool. just throwing it in would cause nothing but chaos. |

No need for a marker for that one. With a marker, you get one, and can use one, period.
It's not totally unheard of. I don't remember which one, but one of the WPT events had this in play. They all got cards that would make their oponent show unchallenged hands.
Personally, I've never played this way, but I'm pretty sure the guys I play with would dig it. Hell, I'll give it a try next game, see what happens. (that won't be until next week though, I'll post what they say after) |

Chips: 2,009 | | | I saw something like this on a poker show, I think it was the WPT. Each player had I believe a 'show card'. I like the idea, maybe more for your friendlier home games though. I'm not so sure if your more serious games would appreciate it. Using a nice design on the chip is much better than a flash card, that's for sure. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
