Chips: 307 | | | Interest in cheap group buy from WWW.PJCC.com? **Poll added* I know this is taking a step from most group buys, but I figured I'd check the interest for those on a budget or just looking for something fun. I just ordered the new 10.5g clay Vegas inlay chips from this place. These aren’t bad for the money. They feel like the All-In clays. They’re nothing like Paulsons , TRKings, or ASM’s, but for the price worth a look especially for those on a budget. Included with the order was a sample of their custom composite chip. Typical 11.5g composite chips found everywhere. I hacked one apart & slugged like 99%. The inlay size was huge which I saw as a real positive. An even bigger plus to this was the price. Here’s the page: http://www.pjcccustomizedpokerchips.com/individual.htm
An order of 10,000 is $.11/each. That’s what caught my eye. 10 of us could each get a 1000 chip set for $110 each plus shipping/freight. We could break it down anyway we wanted as the minimum order is 200 per design. I think someone here could come up with an awesome design for the inlay. I was thinking something fun/silly. I know we play in the garage or basement depending on the weather. How about “World Series of Garage Poker” or “Basement Poker Tour Championship.” I’m really partial to GPT(Ghetto Poker Tour) as a spin off of the WPT, but I’m guessing not too much interest in that idea. I’m looking for something fun.
We could also see if they’d do a custom on the 10.5g clay chip. The price might be higher, but the quality is better. If we got a big enough order they may try this for us. If we went that route we could do a more traditional design of a tournament set. No garage/basement stuff. I’m just throwing this idea out there as the price seems kind of right, but maybe I’m way off. I know we all want the top of the line stuff, but it would still be fun to have a custom chip at a really cheap price.
Post any interest/ideas & I’ll put a call in to them if enough interest. |

Chips: 14,015 | | | Interesting idea. I was looking at the review of those 10.5g chips and was thinking about getting a big $$ set of them (1k, 5k & 10k) for a big bucks tourney. I bet we could get quantity discount on them with enough buyers. I'm not crazy about the inlay though, but I'd like a big bucks set.

You think this company would have a problem with replicating wsop chips? |

No worries, just let our design stay ours. We are actually going to end up as more of a TR King group buy, if the poll leader stays atop. |

Sure, they aren't the super-bad Matsui decals, but would be an amazingly nice low-tier chip. |
