Chips: 11,406 | | | Chipco - Possible Group Buy I've been trying to put a set of these together for awhile now, and I got frustrated by the scarcity & price associated with these chips. People expressed some interest in my WTB thread, so I thought I'd see what kind of interest there might be in a GB. The Plais des Congress was the precursor to the current Casino de Montreal. The history aside, these were fantastic looking Paulsons.
They're now quite rare, and when you do find them, the pricing can be a little prohibitive. This auction is a good example: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1
The colours are very unique and I think would make a great home set.
I thought it might be interesting to do these in ceramic, but someone mentioned TRKing as a possible option. I'd be open to trying Clay, but it may be very expensive. Check out the mockup I did, and please vote! If there are any retailers interested, please PM me. Thanks for the interest!

Chips: 255 | | | It's a nice design but I don't think it would look good on a ceramic. Especially with the edgespots because they would look odd on a ceramic chip and they wouldn't line up. Now on a TR King it would look good although I don't know if they offer shaped inlays. |

Chips: 210 | | | I saw some of those on E-bay once and really thought I would like a set of them.
I don't think I would like them on a ceramic, but a TR King would be really nice. |

Chips: 5,913 | | | i really like your design, but must agree with the others that it would really only work on clay. I actually would love to get a group buy of NJ custom ceramics going (like the AB) but I would prefer to design chips that are more to the ceramics strengths.
I think tha these would probably turn out really well as TR Kings, but I can't afford TR Kings. Sorry for the lack of interest, but great design. |

Chips: 46 | | | I've already got clays I'm looking for a set of chipcos or NJ's, a group buy would be great if the price was right. If you could do edge stripes in different widths it would be great, I don't like the uniform edge stripes on many of the stock ceramics (NJ's, crystal oyster, classics) they all seem to have the same pattern. If the edges could be different chip to chip so the higher denoms could stick out I'd be in.

Trying to duplicate what was originally clay in a ceramic chip can be quite difficult. To answer the question regarding edge spots, the idea was always to have them differ from denom to denom. Think of the spots on the face, and imagine them on the edges, they'd look like they match in terms of width & colour.
I may still look into TRKing, it would be interesting to see what prices could be hammered out...
Thanks for the interest either way you voted!

Chips: 450 | | | I like the simplicity of the inlay, but they seem to be al the wrong colour. Whats up with that? |
