By the way, Schilling returned tonight in relief. It was awesome to watch him come out as the crowd went nuts.

Sheffield came back from being behind in the count to smash a double off of the monster in left center.

Next batter is A-rod, who hits a deep home-run to centerfield.

Schilling retires the next 3 in a row, including a strikeout looking to Matsui.

He still doesn't look like himself...The injury does not seem to be fully healed....I think in about a 2-3 weeks he will begin to look like his former self and I am looking forward to that (he is on my fantasy team).

Yeah we went crazy for Schilling when he walked out to the pen between innings. Standing ovation for just walking to the pen. Then went crazy again when he came out for the 9th. Too bad a-hole got a hold of that ball, he was throwing good heat and did well on those last 3. Depite losing, it was still a fun game, we had a great time.

Funny story, I was in pretty much the same seats last year with the same guest for game 3 of the ALCS against NY when we got killed 19-8 or whatever it was. Behind us at that game was a guy with a very loud booming voice who was merciless to Scheffield all game long. He stayed to the end as we did and on the way out, in the bowels of fenway, everyone was leaving dejected and thinking 'just wait till next year - again'. He pipes up and yells, "what's the matter with you people, we've got them right where we want them now! We're going to come back and take 4 straight and I'll see you back here for game 1 of the world series!" Turns out he was right.

Well tonite, we're talking about that guy and I wish he was here so we could buy him a beer, but we didn't hear him all game. Until the 8th, when we hear that same voice boom out from 2 rows behind us (never even looked before) and there he is! We reminded him of that game and he remembered the whole thing and what he said. We had a good laugh about it, reminiscing and all. What are the odds!

Considering it's 12-1 Sox in the bottom of the 4th and Murf's post came in very early this morning technically the 15th - he must have magical psychic powers - hopefully he's right and the best team will hold on and win tonight.

My first game was in Fenway! I sat three rows behind the Boston Dugout and next to the Yaz's mom and dad. GOT THEIR AUTOGRAPHS ON MY PROGRAM! AFTER THE GAME Yaz SIGNED IT TOO! I also got Freddy Lynn's and Rico Petroceli's(sp?) Very exciting for a six-year-old boy.
PS They played the A's with Vida Blue and won
