As much as I love the fact that Townes Van Zandt is well-represented on this list, I am not so sure that 'Cowboy Junkies Lament' is the right pick. The only gaming reference in the song is:

I suspect that was more for lyrical value than talking about gambling. The song was written by Townes for The Cowboy Junkies after he toured with them back in the early 90's. Great song, but I don't think it's really about gambling.
As for songs that perhaps should be on the list, what about "Spanish Train" by Chris De Burgh. The devil and the Lord playing poker for the souls of the dead. How much better does it get?
Some selected lyrics from that song:

And then the Lord he called for one more card,
But he drew the diamond eight,
And the Devil said to the son of God,
"I believe you've got it straight,

He slipped another ace...
Ten thousand souls was the opening bid,
And it soon went up to fifty-nine,
"I'll raise you high to a hundred and five,
And forever put an end to your sins",
But the Devil let out a mighty shout, "My hand wins!!" |
And then there's "City of New Orleans" by Steve Goodman. Most people would know either the version recorded by Arlo Guthie or Willie Nelson.

It doesn't specifically say which card games they're playing, though it doesn't sound quite like poker if it's a 'penny a point' game. So I'm not sure if you want to include that one or not.
Hope that helps,
