Help this rookie out, folks. I am trying to add an avatar under my name for posting on this site. I was going to do something simple and obvious, like the jpeg of my chip label. But when I try to submit it, I get a message that the file should be less that 125 pixels wide and 240 pixels long. Is there way I can manipulate the image to conform to the requirements of the avatar? I'd appreciate it.

Use the Resize/Resample function and you can specify the new size for as many pixels as you want.
Use the MS program "Paint". It's a standard windows utility.
Open your file with Paint, the use the "Stretch/Skew" command from the "Image" menu. If you need to reduce by 25%, enter .75 as both the vertical and horizontal values.
Then save it!
Bam.
