my only problem with the old Macbook & New Macbook & Macbook Pro is the flippin glass glossy screen and the glare that you get on it. I had one of the black Macbook's a while back for work and the glare drove me nuts...

You want me to go buy THIS one for you? I'm sure it will go quick. I have two older Powerbook G4's I'm looking to sell -- had I the $ in hand, I'd probably be on this one.
...also heard a rumor the newer laptops were going to start to come w/o firewire? Is that true?

They come with Firewire 800 on the 17", with an adapter cable, there's no difference.
EDIT: Macbooks have no Firewire.

nice, thanks! I just emailed the person about whether it had applecare or was still on warranty so that I could purchase applecare for it...for some reason I'm hesitant to purchase a used laptop...
what size and kind of shape are your old Powerbook G4's?

Both G4 667MHz, 15" Titanium -- I just upped the one with RAM & a 120 gig HD -- great for basic internet & around the house. Would not be good for gaming. The other I bought for my dad but do to some real life changes he no longer can use it. Same model, 40 Gig HD & a bit less RAM. I bought both for around $300 each within the last year + add ons. My son really wants an intel duo core (or whatever it's called) so we can put Spore on it -- being a caring father I'm thinking I should force myself to upgrade.
...little brat already has a 20" imac (older but nice) sitting on his desk!
PS I also emailed the person but have not heard back -- I'll let ya know if I do.
