Gimme a double Captain and Coke with a lime and you've made yourself a new friend.

Hey Ligarius...
IIRC you live in Spain.
Have you ever tested Negrita Rum?!
That is one of my favorites regarding the cost/performance ratio.
Great stuff but unfortunately they don´t sell it here in germany
I gave up alcohol a few years ago so my beverage of choice is coffee, and lots of it. Gotta drink enough to make me jittery and twitchy (that's when it starts to get really good).
I work nights and Red Bull is just too expensive to drink all the time.

Absolutely... I love margueritas too, but they are deadly. Refreshing and easy to drink, but the real backstabber is that the sugar, salt, alcohol and acidity from the lime juice makes the drink very hygroscopic. So the more you drink, the more thisty you become and thus want even more of it.

Ron Negrita along with Cacique is pretty popular here for mixing. Never had it straight. Decent price though...

Yes...i would also reccomend it only for mixing but therefore its really great.
I have also tried cacique...even better than negrita but also double the price IIRC, so we bought two bottles of negrita instead of one cacique
But i think the if you translate cacique, it means something like "the tyrant of the town"........quite a funny name for a rum!
