Digital Camera Problems

Bought this Kodak Z612 a little over a year ago. The wife recently took it on a cruise and "suddenly" the pics started getting grainy. Not sure of the technical description but here is an example.

My wife claims that she didn't drop th camera or get it wet. Anyone have an idea what could be causing this?

Anyone ever had a digital camera repaired?

Thanks!

Re: Digital Camera Problems

I don't think it's the ISO settings. When we first noticed it, my wife had it set on "Sports" so I thought that was the problem. I the tried on several different settings including the standard point-and-shoot mode.

Hadn't thought about the memory card option though. I'll try a different card tonight and see if that is it.

Thanks Scott.

Re: Digital Camera Problems

It's the dreaded corduroy problem. It comes from what you wear during those cold winters in Michigan. When the camera suddenly goes to a warm place (like a cruise) it gets totally confused and shows how it misses winter.

Sound right to you?

P.S. I hope Scott's fine suggestion fixes the problem....

That certainly could be the problem! lol

I was waiting for someone to say that it was caused by the Lions jerseys in the pic I posted.

(just to be clear, it has happened on other pics as well)
