I have sad news to report. It has been reported that Scott Wellhausen (aka Oldcycles), passed away on 7/2/2007.

No further information on the cause of death is known at this time.

However, what we do know is this - Scott was a well known regional poker player, and was also a member of the Rat Pack of Central Ohio, which is Central Ohio's #1 poker club. Scott was known by clubmembers as the local poker chip 'expert', and he also moderated one our club's online forums discussing such matters. It was through his posts that forum, that Rat Pack became aware of this ChipTalk forum.

On a personal note, I want to be the first to say to you all that Scott was a
friend to many of us, and an important contributor to our club. He will be missed. Scott has no immediate family (that we are aware of), so perhaps it is fitting that we, the Rat Pack of Central Ohio, take a moment to recognize his contirbutions, and to remember him. Please take a moment of silent prayer & remember Scott.

I have awful news regarding OC one of the his friends from the RatPack contacted me via IM and gave me all the following information & details regarding his passing. May he rest in peace.

I have sad news to report. I discovered a copy of a Columbus Police report, dated 7/2, that seems to confirm that Scott Wellhausen was found dead at his home. On behalf of the entire club, I will continue to investigate this, and I will report my findings here on this forum. FYI, I have submitted a formal request for information with the Franklin County Coroner's office, so I am hoping to have more to report to you soon.

On a personal note, I want to be the first to say that Scott was good friend to many of us, and an important contributor to our club. I also know that he did not have any immediate family in this area, so perhaps it is fitting to believe we, the Rat Pack, need to do something on his behalf. As a board member of this club, I suggest that we, collectively, do something to formally commemorate & remember Scott. Also, I personally ask each of you to take a moment of silent prayer, and seek God's guidence, and to remember Scott.
