I thought about posting a picture of my workstation -and saying "would this be the inverse of cleaning things up a bit?" But, it is just too messy (maybe I should clean it up a bit)
Hey, that looks pretty cool. That amp is, in fact, something to be proud of.
I'm only just starting to think about using nicer cords (like mogami) I picked up monster cables for the short connectors on my rack. Then I got a monster cable for a guitar cord. I'm not too happy with it - I get a lot of noise and even feedback. I can, however, notice the superiority of the sound quality - it's like something might be wrong though. (short or something) I've been of the "a cord is a cord" mindset for years - but, I've also never been too happy with the sound quality I get.
I'm doing this all behringer thing. The V-amp and the Bass V-amp for gtr processors, the 1602 line mixer, a 500 watt behringer power amp. For now, I'm using some KLH speakers for monitors. However, my 1st next move with that is: another of the same power amp, a crossover, and a behringer bass cabinet for the sub. Once I'm past that, I'll upgrade the monitors to behringeer stage monitors (or guitar cabs) most my gtrs are budget ibanezs (though my destroyer is pretty nice) My bass is a neck thru ESP. The funny part is; I'm really a drummer. The electronic kit is Yamaha DTXpress3 - my Tama acoustic set is out in the shop.
If you want to know the truth, I envy the clean setup you have. I'm not set up good to record on the PC (I run audacity freeware) I'd love to run pro tools or ableton live5. My thing is I wanted to be equipped to perform. It's looking like my son will do more of that than me. -
