If you could spare a good thought or prayer today, my grandpa will be going into surgery this afternoon. He had a mild heart attack a couple days ago and when they did whatever it is they do this morning, they found one artery completely blocked and another partially blocked, so it's off to surgery this afternoon. It sounds like everything should be fine and it's somewhat routine as far as heart surgery goes I guess, but it never hurts to have more good thoughts out there. I'm 100% certain I wouldn't love card games as much as I do without my grandma and grandpa. As soon I was old enough to hold the cards in my hand they were teaching me how to play.

Hope he does well, My grandpa went through a triple bypass 10years ago or so and made it..

My Dad was in for the same thing about 2 years ago, it was 3 arteries 80% blocked and higher. It went well for him, and I hope it goes just as well for Gramps.

All you young guys who still have grandparents, count your blessings and spend more time with them.....I really never knew 3 of the 4 of mine and not much more with my grandmother either as they were all gone very early in my life.

Wow, same here. Only 1 living grandparent (g'mother) when I was born. Always heard stories about how great the others were, only wish I could have known. You guys take good care of yours while they're around! All the best to yours Spiff.
