Chipstacking 101: Chip Spirals

Title: Chipstacking 101 - How-To On Spirals
Author: pawnthe sandman

The spiral can be accomplished with 3 or more sprials of chips. 6 chips is the ideal number because a 7th chip can be placed in the middle to create a consistent center space which make your spiral straight as you build higher and higher.

1. Lay out the base.
First we start with our 7 chips laid out.
2. Add rows and repeat.
We then place the next layer slightly to the left or right (your preference) to the previous layer of chip. Use the label or inlay of the chip to use as a reference guide.

Keep doing this

And eventually you will get your completed stack.
6. Final comments.
That is the basic design, but you can be more creative. You can use use your chips with edge marks and align them in a specific way to line them up as well for more of a unique design that will catch the eye.

Many people start a spiral of 4 chips on top of the stack of 7, etc.

There is no set way to stack, just use the basic principal and your imagination and you will surely create something amazing and unique.

This custom ChipTalk link is built to show you only the real deal: Casino quality poker chips; Not the plastic chips that some sellers call "clay."

Should have lined up your edge pots for greater effect.

I was in a hurry, wanted to get it done and get a photo before the new kittens jumped up and knocked it down

Re: Chipstacking 101: Chip Spirals

I remember doing a spiral at a tournament a few years back, had a huge amount of chips and just started stacking them... a 3 chip spiral so it wasn't quite stable
