Omaha guts or called O.G.

Each player antes a certain amount.example 1.00 x's 5 players = 5 dollars in the pot,
deal cards in this order player 1,2,3,4,5 dummy hand, repeat until all player and dummy has four cards.....burn and put a flop out, players will now assess their hand based on the flop, dealer counts down 3,2,1, drop....if all players drop, reshuffle and repeat,if 2 or more players hold, turn cards over then burn and turn, burn and river, find out who wins, then flip over dummy hand one at a time....say player 1 beats player 2 and the dummy...player 1 scoops the 5 dollars, and player 2 puts 5 dollars in the middle, game continues all players back in....say player 1 and player 2 holds, and player 1 beats player 2,but player 1 get's beat by the dummy, the 5 dollars in the middle stays and each player 1 and 2 match the pot....pot now at 15.00 reshuffle and repeat.....game ends when 1 player holds and beats the dummy .....

Re: Omaha guts or called O.G.

I like these games and will use this variation.... thanks for sharing. I won't be playing with a dummy hand though. When a 10c ante game of guts gets to be a $200+ pot (more than 10x the buy-in) the dynamic really changes and a dummy hand is bad thing. Guts is a dangerous game. YMMV

Guts is the DEVIL!!! Back in the day we played this but capped the pot at 20 cuz the pot just got vulgar...and oddly enough, folks ran out of money real fast and poker "night" would end up being poker hour....

Re: Omaha guts or called O.G.

If you beat the other players and the dummy hand, you scoop and does the low hand pay the antes and you start over. If you have the best but lose to the dummy, all players in the hand match the pot right then you reshuffle and repeat with just he people that put money in or everybody?
So somebody either wins it all, or everybody in the hand pays right?

Re: Omaha guts or called O.G.

We played last night, everybody liked it. Pot went from 50c (10c x 5) to $15 pretty quickly
