Thumbs up Crazy Crazy Pineapple

Anyone ever played this?

Deal 4 cards. Bet.
See a flop. Bet & Burn 2 cards.
Turn, bet, river, bet.

We play Crazy Pineapple alot, usually hi-lo-8, but the action when you play Crazy-Crazy, is, well, crazy.

Re: Crazy Crazy Pineapple

I've also heard of a variant called Thermonuclear Pineapple (not my choice), you get 5 cards and discard 1 preflop, another post flop and another on the turn.

I'm a big crazy pineapple fan but I don't care for pineapple as much.

Re: Crazy Crazy Pineapple

I've never played Crazy Crazy...but I've played Pineapple quite a bit... I smell a few rounds of Crazy Crazy coming this Friday...I'll call it Omahapple (O-Ma-Happle) since the quality of hands should almost be like Omaha.

Re: Crazy Crazy Pineapple

I've never actually played Pineapple or Crazy Pineapple, but as I understand it, both those games start with 3 hole cards. So, shouldn't this "crazy crazy" actually be called "Crazy Omaha"? It's basically Omaha with a discard... (Omahapple is catchy and pretty original, too).

Re: Crazy Crazy Pineapple

After playing Crazy Pineapple, my husband decided he wanted to play "Crazy Mango" (he made it up, but apparently it's not that original) - 4 cards, discard one on flop, one on turn. I'm not a huge fan, but it was popular at the last home game.

We actually get a game called Crazy Omaha rotated into my cash game every once in a while we play it like normal Omaha except you can play any to all of your cards in your dealt hand. This makes usual Omaha trash hands like 2225 a premium.

Re: Crazy Crazy Pineapple

I've never played that game, but the next time we play a cash game I'm definitely dealing that. We play pineapple and crazy pineapple in our cash game, and have even had tournaments.

Funny you should mention 9 card stud, we came up with another game on this past Monday yet to be named which is 10 cards dealt face up with deuces wild, the twist is the game is played using a 6 deck blackjack shoe. We only really play that to kill time if we are waiting for people to show up or at the end of the night, but it's pretty addicting.
