Monte Carlo

We have a Monte Carlo pool set up for our home game.
For each $20 buy-in $2 goes into the pool.

If any one hit a Royal, straight flush or quads they get a payout ranging from $5 - $25.

I think this is a big reason nobody wants to play Razz.

Anybody else have prize pools? How do you work it?

This custom ChipTalk link is built to show you only the real deal: Casino quality poker chips; Not the plastic chips that some sellers call "clay."

Re: Monte Carlo

We do $20 hold'em tournaments, with an extra $2 each game going into a rolling jackpot for any player who gets a straight flush. Everyone likes it except that it has been won twice ($218 and $336), both times by me with Royal Flushes

When the pot gets big, it sure makes it tough to fold suited connectors.

Re: Monte Carlo

Wow, nice payout. That's more than I got at a local casino for quad Aces ($185)

Re: Monte Carlo

at my home game we play 1st 2 hrs dealers choice then next hr we play $20 hlhn cash game.

for the 1st 2 hrs when ever there is a pot that has been won with more then $4 in it we(*****) which meand if you win a $5 pot you *****(throw) .75 into a bowl.

in the last hr for holdem we ***** $1 for ever win over $4.

now at the end of the night we do showdown whoich everyone throws $5 into the middle.
now you can win 2 different hands at the end of the night. the high hand and the low hand.
the high hand winnings are the $5 each player puts into the middle(thats all you can win for the high hand)
the low hand is all the money from the beggining of the night that we *****.
we deal 4 cards down and 3 up to everyone and flip one at a time who ever gets the highest hand gets high and who ever gets low hand gets the low.
with 6 players the high hand would be $30 and the low would be from $60-$80
now we also have a thing called the bus where the beginning of the night everyone puts a $1 into a can and if you get a natural 4 of a kind (with 7 cards or less) you get whats in the buss(the buss usally rolls over week after week and builds up quickly) the average is anywhere from $50-$150 by the time it gets hit.
now if you get a natual 4 of a kind in the last hand of the night you win the buss, high hand, and low hand... that is the grand salami....probally like$200 pot

Re: Monte Carlo

Stayed tuned but I think the Monte Carlo is on Fire. I just looked out and saw a huge plume of black smoke coming from that direction.

By the way, How do I post a new thread on here?
