It sounds like you don't want a bunch of calling stations, so you should be looking for a low ante structure rather than a high ante structure.
Try something like this:
Ante - .10
Bring In - .25
Small Bet - 1.00
Big Bet - 2.00
A higher ante structure would be more like this:
Ante - .25
Bring In - .50
Small Bet - 1.00
Big Bet - 2.00
The bring in is posted by the smallest door card (unless they want to complete the bet to $1.00), then anybody can either call the bring in or complete to 1.00 (can't raise to $2.00 if nobody has completed the bet yet). On 3rd and 4th street you use small bets, then on 5th, 6th, and 7th street you use big bets. If on 4th street, someone has parired their door card, any player has teh option to make a big bet or a big raise instead of a small bet or raise (obviously once the big bet or raise is made, any additional raises must be big). A bet and three raises max is the norm for stud. But for draw, the norm is a bet and four raises, since its only two betting rounds. It is usually played with blinds just like holdem. I like to play it with blinds and antes, to make up for the lack of betting rounds, but we play pot limit or double pot limit, so calling stations don't do too good even with the extra ante money. We usually have the ante be equal to the small blind for draw high or for Kansas City Lowball which is always played no limit.
Also, if you want to play stud no limit, try Mississippi Stud. Its just like regular stud except that 4th street and 5th street are dealt at the same time, so its like a personal flop for each player. Also, you have to deal the river card face up so that people can't have concealed straights, flushes, and full houses or quads, since it is played in the no limit format.
