Chips: 9,392 | | | ASM Quality control I just got a set of each color and mold from PC.com.
Of the 23 chips, 7 are not flat. 4 are badly warped, and 3 are just barely out of true. The stack of 23 wobbles like crazy.
Is this typical, or did they just send rejects to show the color?

Chips: 14,033 | | | I suspect those are just samples. None of my 650 spotted horsehears have these issues.

Chips: 294 | | | I ordered a 1200 set with custom inlay on HH mold, not one single defect. |

They were very clearly just a color selection however. I told them that I just needed an example of each color.

Chips: 6,503 | | If they knew you only wanted them for colour selection than there is a good chance they were chips that were removed from home orders during the quality control check.
Of my order of 1200 chips, I was only sent just over 900 of them because in my order there were just under 300 defective chips alone! No inlays, just HH with edge spots, but once an order is completed they do a check and in my case there were a lot of problems...I am still waiting for the rest of my order.
So they probably have a ton of chips that are not good enough to use but are fine for showing the correct colours.

Chips: 18,545 | | | nevertheless, that's bad business to ship warped chips to a potential buyer.
that sucks. the set i've played with was awesome though, and very regular. |

Chips: 947 | | | Re: ASM Quality control You would get a good feel for the quality of their customer service if you asked them to replace all the defective chips. Quality control isn't as big an issue of their customer service is solid. Quote: |

Chips: 1,037 | | At work, we have a huge bankroll (i don't even know how many) of ASMs - It seems like about once a day or so I'll notice a spinner in our 21 racks or dice game (wheel, etc...) However, these are still within functional tolerances (we do honor them if someone goes to cash out LOL) -that's w/o complaining and getting defects replaced etc... We also will notice offset inlays about as frequently - if not moreso. My understanding is that -for home orders- if you have a problem with quality control, they will make it right.
My only complaints about ASM;
the 312/plain limitation
more colors?
they seem a little light -compared to paulson (new,) chipco 9.5 - 10s
I'm enjoying the home chip (off the shelf) chips now, If I were to have chips made, they would probably be ASMs | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
