Sheets don't look that expensive.

Is 1/8" too thick for a plaque?

1/4" x 24" x 48" Yellow Fluorescent Acrylic Sheet
Sheet Yes $97.70

Could be cut into 3.75 * 5.25 to yield about 36 plaques

From there I guess laser burn at trophy shop?

Or could take a pair of 1/8" sheets and make some cuts and glue them together.

Or make a spot for a custom metal medallion...

(I guess these could match a home set if you left a recess for a chip? Stick a non-denom Pharoah in your $25 and $100k plaques.

See http://tinyurl.com/cmdm7 for ebay auctions for 32 south american plaques.

You could always get them pre-cut from a local Tap Plastics store from Acrylite GP or GP-P95. The material is available in a variety of colors. The 1/8" stock would be the closest to the .130 or 3.2-3.3 mm thickness of a chip and the next thickness available would be in 3/16" stock. Graphics and denominations can be silkscreened, hot-stamped, or laser engraved.

we are having a bit of trouble trying to find a suitable substrate to use for them, all of our test runs look really nice but they are way too light, we are looking at some other options now

What do the Egyptian plaques weigh?

What's your target weight on the substrate?

I have 30g as approximate weight using 50g scale.... (5 plaques at 150).
