Very nice - I like the theme alot. Any way you can try them with the rays in the background slightly lighter? I feel like the rays detract from the rest of ther chip just a smidge.

Not to bash on your design (you did ask, though), but here are some things that don't sit well with me:

- The "ROUVALIS" text is difficult to quickly read. It's blending with the script "R" that is behind it. I think this is because the dark text colors are touching each other. Perhaps adding a light glow around the "ROUVALIS" will set it apart from the script "R"?

- The worded denominations are inconsistent. If the $0.25 chip has "TWENTY FIVE CENTS", should the $5 chips have "FIVE DOLLARS", etc.?

- The font that's used to print the worded denomination and the "ROUVALIS POKER ROOM..." text is too small and difficult to read. Enlargened it would look better, no?

- The suits in the outer ring have the look of cheapo plastic chips. Perhaps add a design that clearly shows these are custom chips?

Everything Kalimba said.

The rays and the wrapped text font size are the two biggest issues. The rays are to prominent. The text is so small you'll never be able to read it.

'ROUVALIS' needs to be a few orders of magnitude bolder than the stylized 'R' for sure. I'd also consider separating the 'R' from everything else, too.

The 'rouvalis poker room southeast michigan' clashes severely with the ray background on some chips. This alone makes the design personally unacceptable. you could add a light bar ringed background for this 'security text' or something.

Overall it looks like you made a design that looked great for one chip, then started switching colors and that's where you started running into visual problems. I don't suggest scrapping this but it's really not in a good place to make permanent with a set of expensive chips. Best of luck!

i agree with those guys. i wanted to add, though, that i think these are close to being awesome...if you could quiet down the rays.

With the "R" and the Rouvalis I was mimicking the Bellagio logo. Side by side, they look pretty close. I will play around with it to make the "Rouvalis" more prominent. (I originally tried a glow, but it didn't look right)

The .25 cent one says quarter now. Originally they said "dollar" after them, but I didn't like the way they looked. So I changed them all, but I missed that one. Thanks for the headsup.

I will also inlarge the font on the circle text, and make it cleaner and easier to see.

I'll think about the suits thing, I just liked the way they looked, but I'll see if I can come up with something more custom.

I posted because I wanted feedback. I can take criticism just fine, especially if it will ultimately help me make something better. Thank you for your comments.
