For those of us that hate waiting, i may have a solution for you. I odered my PC.com custom horsehead chips about 5-6 weeks ago. I was told the standard waiting time was 10-12 weeks. After the first two weeks, I called and said i was thinking of canceling my order due to time constraints. I had an event coming up and the chips wouldn't arrive on time. The lady at PC.com said she would put a rush on my order. I just recieved a UPS delivery confirmation that states the chips will arrive june 13. That is less than 8 weeks! So if you have recently placed an order, ask for a rush to be put on it.

I personally wouldn't advocate lying just to save a couple weeks on an order. But that's just me.

Putting a message like that up on any message board is pretty much advertising and advocating a less than ethical tactic that is liable to affect everyone else who orders from here, and it may have a negative impact on anyone who really does have an urgent need and needs to have a rush put on their order for a legitimate reason. And don't forget Jim Blanchard does have an account on this board, I'm sure he's heard them all, with all his years in the business. You probably wouldn't be the first customer who's fibbed to his customer service department.

I do not thing badfish ruined anything, I am a firm beleiver that companies like pokerchips.com gives you a wait time they KNOW they can come through on. They say 10-12 weeks for custom inlays, or 8-10 weeks for just chips, when they can probably get them done much quicker and the customer is very happy. And in the occasional instance when they are very busy or they do have some orders that take precedent, they can still meet their self imposed deadline and the customer is still happy.

On that note, I do think people should use the rush order excuse only when necessary for the reasons mentioned in earlier posts. Everyone at pokerchips.com seems very nice and they make every effort to keep their customers satisfied, and I would hate to see any adverse effects of people abusing their willingness to help.

Well said schmag, they really are the nicest people there. I just received an order from them that I wasn't expecting until the end of this month. I even had to make a couple of changes along the way and they were more than happy to do them. Can't say enough about what a great group they have there.
