Chips: 1,037 | | | OnaBudget! What are the best chips for creating customs? I know that the Nexgens are a very popular choice for those wanting to create a custom set on a budget.
I ran across these Pro Clays today and I'm wondering if these would be even better? The price is pretty close! http://discountcasinogear.com/store/product763.html
I would Ideally like to have a clay chip, but I can't seem to justify the cash, even on the ASM group buy.
Any suggestions would be greatly apprecaited!

Chips: 5,848 | | | I think the Nexgen are slight better than those but get samples to decide for yourself. By the way, those are not clay (you probably knew that though) and they only come in 5 colors. The nexgens offer a broader color selection also. Some folks also recommend the 10g Faux Clay Dice chips even though they don't have a recessed center.

Chips: 1,555 | | | I agree - get samples. That helped me pick my 1st set. I ended up with NexGens and 6 colors (didn't need all the colors). Got a great deal off of 5stardeal for em. |

Chips: 1,037 | | | Thanks for the advice guys.
Any suggestions as to the cheapest way to get samples?
Also the recessed center is very important, another reason I'm staying away from the ASM group buy (I got a sample HH myself). |

Chips: 5,848 | | | At 5star, you can order chips individually and they carry all the styles we just dicussed and some others. Depending on the number you order, shipping is only 3.95 by USPS which isn't too bad. |

Chips: 1,037 | | | Yes I did.
I've also read ALL the post strings on labeling the ASM HHs.
I'm not willing to take the change that the labels will rub off, create spinners, etc.
I also don't really want to spend a coupld hundered dollars on a set right now. I would however like something a little better than the "double suited" chips I use now. And I have a great idea for custom inlays, but need to find a decent/affordable recessed chip.
Right now I'm leaning towards the River Poker Tour NexGens, but we'll see. |

Chips: 5,848 | | | Make sure you compare the RPT Nexgens to the LV Nexgens. There is definitely a difference in feel between the 2 chips. The RPT's look better, IMHO, but the LV's seem to have a better feel to them, also IMHO.
PS: I only own samples of these chips so you can take my opinions with a grain of salt. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
