Where exactly can you buy level 4 edge spot ASM chips? (also, other stuff)
I've done a lot of research and plan on finally taking the plunge in getting my own custom poker chip set for my homegame. I settled with custom ASMs, but I still have a lot of unanswered questions.
Firstly, I'm willing to pay a premium for really complex designs on the chip. I see pokerchipsonline.com has a chip builder and everything looks pretty straightforward. For my high denomination chips, I wanted to treat myself to some level 4 edge spot chips, however those are straight up not even available on that site. Where can you purchase them, and what's the minimum order?
I know nothing about graphic design, nor the formatting you even need for designing your own custom inlay, but here's what I have so far for my chips.

Any help here? Ideas, comments?

The best way is to send Micheal from ASM a message.

Also check out the custom label section and ask around. Someone should be able to help you out with a design.

As a chiptalk member, you have access to molds, colors and spot patterns that aren't available to the general public. Visit ASM's forum here on chiptalk for more info on pricing, etc...

Use the Chip Factory here @ CT. It's the same type of chip generator that ASM's website uses but with the special spot patterns: Poker Chips and Poker Chip Advice - ChipTalk.net - Poker Chip Factory

My game started back in the day as a $0.05/$0.10 game with people buying in for five bucks. I have a crowd that comes to piss around a few bucks and drink a few beers over negligible money. My regular game, however, attracts a completely different crowd. It's a $0.25/$0.50 game, with me as a permanent dealer, where the max buyin is $200. My initial order will only be for $0.25s, $1s, $5s, $20s, and $100s, with the last two denominations coming WAY later, if it at all.
What is the proper formatting for an inlay on an ASM chip? I have Photoshop and can play around some, but I don't want to waste my time when it will translate terribly in the inlay.
I've played around with this site's chip creator and tinkered with the new edge spots some. I like it.
I went hardcore and used Excel to figure out how I'm going to order these chips 300 at a time, so that I can afford to gradually expand on this set, yet make the chip distribution more manageable. In case anyone wants to see the craziness:

Re: Where exactly can you buy level 4 edge spot ASM chips? (also, other stuff)
Well the best format to create it in would be Illustrator so it scales well, but high quality photoshop is ok. Create your inlay with a 1/8" blank area around the edge. 7/8" is standard size (3/4" printable) for all molds but many take larger, like the A-mold you mocked up above. That will take 1" as well. Consult the posts in the ASM forum for what you can get for sizes, etc. and shaped inlays are now available too.
Also, not all spots in the chip factory are available and not every available spot is in chip factory. Again, check the ASM forum for full details.

Re: Where exactly can you buy level 4 edge spot ASM chips? (also, other stuff)
I've updated the designs a little bit. Link edited on the first post, but here it is again:
http://www.ph-online.net/igorchips.png
I consulted Mike's price list and made sure that my choices were all available.
I really don't know where to go from here for the inlay, though. Hell, I don't even know what to call my club name on the chip. Right now, my poker game is named after the area where I live, but I can't really name my club after it on the chips since I don't want the chips to lose any kind of authenticity if I relocate. I'm pretty sure that I want a 2-7 offsuit graphic to appear on the chip itself. The club name could even be named after it if it's creative enough.
I even designed a tournament set. Gah. I need to find someone to help me design this without emptying my wallet! :P

post a thread in the request for hire forum to get a designer. Custom Chip Design - Request For Hire -
You need to re-think your dark blue w/black chip, that will look like one solid color on the table unless you're playing under very bright light.
