Chips: 8,582 | | | My 1st attempt at customs, Comments please! Hey all, I'm seriously considering a custom set from homepokerchips.com. I put these together myself, taking some inspiration from Fins and VARoadstter. I designed these without a template, so I'm sure some colours may be illegal, printing issues may arise, etc. Let me know what you think, and I may actaully consider laying down the cash to get these made up. Thanks in advance! |

Chips: 9,211 | | | Nice chips.
I think the black cat gets lost on the black chip. Also the fact that it is a pure silhouette (except eyes &nose) would work better on just a head. With a crouching cat, some lines within the body of the cat may help.
The concentric circle background works well and should work with the color pallette.
What kind of edge spots are you thinking of?

L | Hmmm, you're sorta right about the black on grey. I liked the fact that it was so dark. Might be too dark. The head idea might work well too, I modeled the silhouette after an image of my own cat, and thought the shape was easy to discern, but maybe not. I should try a few different poses.
Initially, I thought simple edge spots (black, yellow, black) would work, and keeps with the cat theme. Do you have any suggestions? |

Chips: 7,798 | | Those are pretty cool. I like the background circles. I'm usually not a fan of having the denomination twice, but it's not that bad here.
My personal suggestions:
-Change the font for "A chip & a chair". It's not too legible as is.
-For ChipCo's I personally don't like having the face have edge spots, since they'll never line up with the actual edge spots.
-I'd go with a different edge spot for each chip, rather than have every chip have the same edges.
What is that $1 chip, light gray? That's a great way to not bring up the vs. debacle! |

Chips: 145 | | | Pretty cool idea. Being the owner of a few cats myself, I kinda like the chip. Just not sure about the "a chip and a chair" thing, but thats just me. Nice start. |

Chips: 91 | | | I like that design.
I'm not sure about the concentric circles, it looks like you wanna do some hypnosis on someone :D
Also, the cat is nice, but I'd add some grey lines to define it a bit. It lacks volume. |

Chips: 79 | | | That's a good start man, if you go to the web site and register you can down load the color palette as a pdf and make things much easier on yourself. Good start! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
