Mmmm, yeah, that's still an issue. I ordered my colour wheel samples, and I'm going to wait to see my options for the black spectrum.

You could make the inner rings of the bullseye dark and light grey, instead of black and grey ---- just enough to provide a little contrast with the cat.

While you're at it, you could change all of the bullseye rings to be more shaded, and perhaps vary their thickness and spacing. Provide some perspective. The idea is to make it look like you're looking down the center of a tube or pipe that the cat is in, rather than a flat 2D bullseye/target.

Re: Edgespots

If you simply eliminate the white square between the cat's eyes, it will be vastly improved. The edges of the spot need not be perfectly square, of course. If you use a segment of the head as is, it will look cool... sort of like the cat peering through a slot.

Done. The black chip is now dark & light gray instead. Much better. I like the idea of the shading on the concentric circles. I'll try that this weekend.

Coleman: Good call on the edge spots, I'll try that as well! Thanks!

Here's rev.6 I put the edgespots back on, but will probably get rid of them. Thanks for all the comments!

Wow, rev.6 is awesome.

Are you sure the gradient will come out exactly as it is in your pic ?

I agree with you on the edgespots. The graphic has no place to breathe, it should be better without them. Maybe you should keep the 'wheel' tho.

Finally, is the multiple quote a nice thing ?

Edgespots are gone, The gradient question can only be answered when I submit them to homepokerchips.com. I don't see why it couldn't. If they can do colour gradients on edgespots, they should be able to do them in the face of the chip.

Speaking of actual edgespots on the rolling edge, I'll probably submit them without, and see what their artists can come up with.

The wheel will stay, I like how that adds more texture to the ring of the chip. Multiple quotes will not exist either. I have to pick the best one.

Thanks for the comments. Does anyone have a preference for the quote?

i love the way those are looking! i definitely think that you should remove the edgespots on the face though because they NEVER seem to match up with the actual edgespots except on samples...

Heh, maybe I should do a poll in another thread! I'm glad you like that one. Credit, where credit's due - Fins came up with that line (Thank you, Fins).
