i wouldn't want to cramp the pharaoh's style (those are my babies, too), but you should try to get a 'lil group buy on the black cats.

get 3 or 4 guys interested in 500 each, and you're price will be considerably better, no? i'm guessing the per chip would be the same, but you split the setup 4 ways and you're golden.

Now you're talking. I love those Pharaoh's too, damn my expensive hobbies!

I wonder if anyone would like these enough to do a group buy...

Pm me so I can see if there's actually any interest!

Here's rev.4.
I think the edge spots are starting to work, I took inspiration from crystal oyster, great spots on those. Please post your comments, thanks!

Those certainly look nice! But I still strongly recommend not putting edge spots on the face of ChipCo chips. They will never match up to the actual side edge spots.

I know, but it hasn't stopped almost everbody before me. I'm afraid they'd be a little bland without them...

True, but you can alway do something else in that area.

They look ok, but not sure about them running under the text. Also I think the 'segments' around the edge now only work well with the $1/$5/$25 chips.

I think they look great.

I'm still a little overpowered by the text but not sure what to suggest. I actually think it might be cool to have more than one saying on them e.g. 1's & 5's have one, 25's & 100's have another and add a 3rd for the 500 & 1000.

I think the 100, 500 & 1000 need to lose the stroke on the "rays" since it doesn't match the spots.

I like the larger denom font size but may be a tad too big & the 5 font looks bigger than the 1 & others... the 1000's size might be just right with the 1, 5 & 25 being a tad larger??

I think the face of the $1 is good with 1 single spot but I'd almost be tempted to make it 3 wide on the edge?... not sure I'd like just one small spot on the edge??

Could make the spots on the $25 or the $1000 be angled on the edge... eg. // // // ... just mention it b/c the 25, 500 & 1000 will be a little similar from the edge... could make the 1000 be // // \\ \\ (angle in towards each other?)... might have to see some stack mock ups.

The design's really comming along... I think I spent about a month on mine b/f I contacted Patrick... the whole design process for me was fun or as Miksen on 2+2 termed it fun-confusing.

If you haven't read this yet you might want to at least for the color tips & printing info... definitely helps seeing at scale.

Thanks for all the feedback from everyone. I decided edge spots was NOT the way to go for the face of the chip. After seeing the Tiki chips in all their glory, it was an easy decision to make. I'd still like to do them on the rolling edge of the chip, but no longer will they grace the face. They just started to look really bad

Here's rev.5 You'll notice the $1 chip is now a definitive BLUE.

My only remaining problem is with the $100 chip (background and forground matching up).
