Wow. great comments! Yeah, I totally realized now that the blue/white issue has been left in a grey area.

I like the hypnotic effect of the concentric circles - plus I haven't seen it on a chip before. I can mess with my guests. I agree with adding some volume to the cat. I think I'll try that.

I always liked "A Chip & A Chair", but you're right, it doesn't go with the Cat. I'll try something different there. Maybe my city & the date or something... Any suggestions for a good one-liner?

I have the palette somewhere, I might as well try using it!

I like the cat, but the little white triangle for a nose should go.

With a black cat - something about luck.

I think they look pretty good! I like the outer edge better than I like the concentric circles. I think a gradient would work well and help avoid the problem of the silhouette disappearing into the background.

i'd lose the edgespots on the face, put some body lines on the cat, and do something about the chip and a chair thing.

that being said, these look super. am i the only fool that doesn't have the initiative to put together some sweet chipcos?

I think it looks really good especially for not using a template or anything.

Suggestions:

Add sometype of lines on the cat to make it more three dimensional
Change the font
Think of a better slogan for the bottom

I like the black cat. Maybe some grey lines would improve it, but it looks good to me now.

I agree with the comments about the phrase at the bottom:
Chip and a Chair doesn't go with the cat.
The font is hard to read.

I liked the "got fish?" idea...
Otherwise..
"Do you feel lucky?"
"Don't be a *****"

You might reduce the contrast on the bullseye background. As it is, it distracts too much from the foreground.

With the black cat, you could try just putting a single white denom right on top of the cat. That would also leave room to wrap a phrase around the bottom of the chip.

design

nice design I would them more if you put the denomination ($500) in the middle of the black cat. It would make it pop out and look great! keep it up!

Nice design, im not much of a cat person though. Also the font looks a little tiny.

I tried giving the cat some dimension, and I don't think it worked. It made the silhouette look... crappy. Chip & a Chair is gone, something to do with fish might work. Edge spots and contrast are still bugging me. I'll post an update soon. Thanks for all the comments!
