Chips: 84 | | | Thanks for the birthday wishes - I'm a tax day baby.
Actually, a little bit of bad news with the chips - the purple $500 chips came in 2 different color purples. Didn't notice it at first, but was making a tower later that night that I got them and they looked weird. Showed them to a friend, and he confirmed the different colors. So I emailed Dave at homepokerchips, and he said that someone else had the same problem with the purples. So I had to send them BACK to ChipCo (just the purples) and they're going to remake them. I will post pics when I get them back and have the whole set.
I did get one game in before I had to send them back, and everybody loved playing with them. If you're on the fence and have the cash, go for it, I love these chips. |

Chips: 84 | | | The two different purples were not EXTREMELY noticeable. It was definitely two shades right next to each other on the color wheel, but once I did notice it, I noticed it. And it was weird, because some chips had color A on both sides, some had color B on both sides, and some had A on one side and B on the other. I don't know how this happened. It was NOT a HUGE difference, but when I spend $1,300 on custom chips / artwork, I want these things PERFECT. The only thing that sucks is that I have to send them back (already in the mail) and hope and f'n pray that they get back to me by May 14th in time for our big summer kickoff home tournament. |

Chips: 7,798 | | | That sucks you had to send them back. Did you ask why? Is it for proof of the error? It's not like they can really use them for anything... | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
