I wanted to order a set of chips from pokerchips.com. Like someone else that i read on here, i revieved a horsehead and A chip, but no roman. Since i want to make my own labels, I was going to go w/ the clay w/ edge spots (which they only offer in Roman and Circle designs). I know that the Rounders chips were Roman weave, does anyone else have a Roman weave design on their chips? Do they feel different than the other two. I noticed that the A chip is a little stiffer than the Horse heads. I figure for 50c a chip, maybe the Roman design is bad...just looking for some insight, thanks.
Custom stickers are not going to look good on these chips. Ther is no recess to put the sticker in.

Yes, I second this. If you want an inlay, have pokerchips.com do them. Spring for the 95¢/chip (or ~86¢/chip if ordering >1000), or get NextGens with labels.
Also, others have received blank horsehead chips with custom edge spots, so your best bet is to call them an see what's available.
I notice someone else mention that, but i have some cheap composite with no recess, and the labels look great. Im assuming the problem is that they would raise up above the chip, but mine dont, maybe i got eally thin labels.
I would love to get the horseheads with edge spots. I think you have to get lucky when you call or you have to try to to sweet talk them
I agree. I have been told that you can't get the horseheads blank while people have gotten them. It is kind of like TR King custom pricing - vague at best.
My caveat is this: Stickers don't stick to "linen" clay surfaces.
You'd be wiser, I think, to simply bite the bullet and order custom inlays.
Using stickers to save money will be a compromise that will eventually grate on you.
Save the stickers for plastic chips.
As far as I can tell, the stickers won't stick very well to true clay chips. They stick great to plastic and composite, but the blank clay set I have here from pokerchips.com doesn't seem like it would take labels well at all.
You really need to either bite down and pay the .95 cents a chip for a custom inlayed chip or just stick to Nexgens.
i never thought about the texture difference on the clay chips, in reference to the labels adhesiveness. good points guys, guess i will have to wait the 18 years for the artwork to go through and then to arrive.
