Hey everybody. LONG time lurker of all the chip boards. First time poster. I have had a custom set of Blue Chips for about 6 months. I love 'em. They are exactly what I was looking for. Edge-spots, colors, feel, etc. (I will post pics soon since I have broken my posting cherry!!)
I found out about them 1-1/2 years ago on my eternal quest for a custom set. I looked them up in the phone book and talked to Dave. He's definitely not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I knew it would be a long time to wait from our conversations. About 6 months from design approval to delivery.
My suggestion is to expect a long delivery, not so good customer service, and a guy that sounds like Gomer Pyle. (I do a great Dave Endy impersonation). If you know this going into it and can handle all this chaos...IT IS WORTH IT.
Totally narcissistic. You'll see what I mean when I post pics. Are 100% of the inlays perfect...no. But it's not enough to worry about. Does the 1 gram difference matter...no. You need to have pretty sensitive nerves in your hands to notice ONE GRAM. Either that, or one heck of an ex-drug dealer
Besides, I only drag in the monster pots...it's too hard to judge grams when I'm thinking about dollars.
