I've got a set of old Paulson "starburst" chips that I really like, and now that new Paulsons are out, I'm seriously considering supplementing it. Does anyone have some of the old and some of the new, to tell me if they're really comparable?

I'm guessing that the production process is pretty much the same (I mean they are real Paulsons, right?), but I'm curious about how the new edge designs look next to the old ones. The pictures on Apache, etc, don't show the engraved concentric circle along the edge, for example; do they have that and it's just not in the picture? Is that circle optional, and certain dies will have it, but not others?

And does anyone know if there will be a set of blank or just non-denominated Paulsons any time soon? None of mine so far have any denominations, obviously, so I'd like to get others that don't, as well. I'm considering entering the group buy here, but just want to get an idea of my other options first, I guess. Thanks for any advice.

The edgespots and color will be different between the old and new paulsons, but they will still feel and sound the same basically. As for non denom new paulsons there are none yet excepts for probably the pharoahs blue non denom egyptians paulson.

I see starbursts on ebay occasionally. If you want more of them just keep checking.

Let me go ahead and answer that one for you too. Greg (10percenter) doesn't know yet what the "new" mold will look like, only that the custom order will be ON the new mold.
