I think the second version is a large improvement. The font and gradient are much better.

However, IMO the nature graphic is going to be a bit obscure on a 7/8" label - I would go with a simpler graphic. At least get rid of the flower directly in front of her. Look at how much better the sword alone is than the angel with a sword.

In a similar vein, I would think about a spider alone rather than in a web. Or maybe just the web since it may be a better representation of "fate".

Overall, good work. And remember that if you and your wife are happy, that's the important thing.

Leonard

Much improved- I like the use of the simple sword instead of the sword wielding figure. You could do the same for the other icons- a scythe, a flower, even the spider without the web... if you wanted more simplicity.
I've found that simpler graphics will have a longer appeal.
The chips will certainly have a durable appeal!

I believe we are almost there.

We love all the chips except the Nature chip.

I am going to speak to Natalie tomorrow and we will make that chip less complicated.

We are going to have her change the writing to Green even though "Fate" also has green writing. We are also going to ask her to change the image to just one of a simple pink rose, showing just the bloom and a small amount of stem.

That should spruce up the chip to where we want it to be.

Good thing we dont get charged for this set for about 12 weeks =)

This theme has absolutely nothing to do with Vamp/Goth or Underworld or anything even remotely close to it.

You would have to have read the "Incarnations of Immortality" book series to really understand where it comes from. Some who come to our weekly poker game have read it, others have not.
You know what, the new font has completely changed the mood of these chips for me. I guess those heavy words combined with the heavy OE font (and not being familiar with the Piers Anthony series, either ) added up to an overall "dreary" feeling, which now is no longer the case. The vamp/goth comment was, of course, just a bit of light sarcasm/humor, and I hope you weren't offended in any way.
